A great selection of 20 stories from some of our favourite authors like Kay Jaybee, Scarlet Blue, Sommer Marsden and Maxim Jakubowski.

This was an unusual collection of stories to the usual erotica collections; it's a nice idea of not just getting great sex but what you could get afterwards for giving it. From money to gems to holidays to inheriting a beautiful mansion what will people do to gain these luxuries.

This book is a fun light-hearted coffee-time read which enables you to grab a whole story in a coffee break, in-between picking up the kids from school, a journey on the train or just some "Me" time. Unlike a novel which can sometimes be hard to put down and you need more time to finish..

I'm usually not a lover of short stories as I like to completely immerse myself into a book till the last page. But after reading some of the plots and creative writing of some of our best authors I thoroughly enjoyed this book and just couldn't put this book down and I managed to read this book in 1 night.

It's not the hottest read I have ever read as the sex is fairly vanilla but it had some fun m/f stories with some light BDSM, spanking, lots of oral, masturbation, voyeurism and orgies and a fun m/m story. Do I have a favorite story yes quite a few; Making her pay by Veronica Wilde I found incredibly hot along with like Perks of the Job by Kay Jaybee and The best Handjob in the North from Victoria Blisse. Plus I found Filthy White Dress an unusual read, something I hadn't thought of... but I'm not going to give it away.

This book also gave me a taster of some authors I hadn't had the opportunity to read yet; all the stories were really well written and it kept me turning the pages to the end.

Tricks for Kicks is a great intro into reading erotica if you are new to reading this genre of books. For the hardened erotica fan you may want it a little hotter under the collar. But if you are a fan of any of these authors then definitely buy this book you won't be disappointed.

Tricks for Kicks is another great book of short stories from Xcite. This book revolves around being rewarded for sexual acts either with money, gifts or as payment for services received. It offers a great selection of 20 stories from some of the best erotic authors like Kay Jaybee, Sommer Marsden and Maxim Jakubowski.

I must admit I quite like short stories as I read most in bed. Shorts mean I can read a whole story or two and not feel like I'm left hanging. It also gives you a chance to taste the work of an author that you may like to read a full length book by.

Some of the stories in this book are a little anticlimactic if I'm honest, although there are some really good ones like Making Her Pay by Veronica Wilde and Third Party by Sommer Marsden.

I did find a lot of the stories quite samey in the sense that the sex itself was very straightforward with no thrills or added kinks. The only difference seemed to be the reward itself. After a while I admit the theme of getting paid or paying for sex got a little bit boring and more variety in the sex side would have helped. A few, on the other hand, tapped into an often secret desire to be watched or have a steamy liaison with a stranger, which I found very enjoyable to read.

If you're into your kink then this may not be the book for you - only a few had any spanking or dominance in them. If you want a book which is less hardcore and will ease you into erotic fiction then I would definitely recommend this.

Overall - not my favourite erotic book, I prefer more variety of sexual encounters in my short stories. Still enjoyable and worth a read though.
