I am a fan of Seven Til Midnight products as I haven't had anything from them that hasn't fitted yet.
I am a size 24 so I was weary of the depth of the belt, as I am used to my black one that is deeper. The adjuster at the back is like a bra strap and you can also unhook the fastener in such a way by unhooking like a maternity bra.
Material is lovely and soft, especially as it is lace, quality is good, I personally say go for it...
What I found important as well: because I am a large lass I like my belt over my lower belly so the lace covers the 'hang' as it were and it did the trick as far as I am concerned.
