I was a little doubtful as to how well this vibe would work for me, as it certainly isn't my first one. But as I was sent it as a review product, I was ready to go into it with an open mind. The packaging is quite well designed, with an aquatic theme that fits with the style of the vibrator and its suitability to be used in water. The light blue, wavy/swirled design of the toy itself also suggests this, and is quite aesthetically pleasing and non-threatening to a first time sex toy user.

The toy is described as being velvety soft - although it does have a soft, smooth coating, this is not particularly thick and the toy is quite hard and rigid. For me, this was a positive, as it made the vibrations stronger. It could always be used over underwear at first for people unsure about the sensations.

I was pleasantly surprised with the strength of the vibrations, as I've now found that some of my vibrators aren't strong enough to satisfy me. This one is pretty powerful, but it's easy to adjust the twisting base to turn the vibrations up and down. However, a negative was that it's pretty loud on the higher settings, which isn't great in a shared house. Also, I found that it used up batteries pretty quickly, though it's worth bearing in mind that I've only tried cheap batteries in it so using something of a higher quality would probably make it last longer.

The swirled shape of the toy provides a nice texture when used internally, and it isn't long or girthy enough to prevent it being used by somebody new to sex toys.
