I ordered 4 pairs of white stockings in total as I needed some to match a suspender basque and thong set that I bought recently from Lovehoney and I often have problems with the fit of stockings. The package arrived super-quickly, as is always the case with Lovehoney.

Once on, these look absolutely striking! Even nicer than the stock photo. They are brilliant white and the main body of the leg is sheer and very smooth. The sheer parts between the four opaque horizontal bands have a gorgeous glossy sheen to them which gives a nice contrast. They are a very modern take on the more lacy stockings. They have gel lining around the top and stayed in place very well.

Unfortunately they were just a bit too tight on my thigh compared to one of the other pairs of white stocking that I ordered and as I didn't need all 4 pairs I've decided to return these. I am a size 10 at the moment having put a little weight on but I am also only 5'1" which means that stockings often come much higher up the thigh on me as they would on taller ladies. Because of this the band falls on the widest part of my thigh and I sometimes have problems with them being a little tight and the dreaded muffin top! I think taller ladies would definitely get away with these as they would only reach the lower and slimmer part of the thigh. I'm not sure that they would fit up to a size 14 however, I would say up to a size 12 comfortably. I was really disappointed that these did not quite fit me right as they are really gorgeous and I will definitely be re-ordering them when my legs are a bit slimmer again!

These arrived super-quickly, like everything from Lovehoney, and I didn't even have to open the door as it fitted through the letterbox.

Once I opened the envelope, the packaging was very simple, a plastic sleeve with the stockings inside. This was great for me as I was eager to get them out and on straight away but if you are giving these as a gift you might want to re-wrap them yourself.

I am a size 12/14 and the size 8-14 seems pretty accurate to me as the elastic seemed quite flexible, but if you're a 14/16 you might want to try something different. The grip tops seemed tight at first but soon became comfortable and the material of the leg section is very sheer and feels great against the skin. I felt that the stockings made the tops of my thighs look a little chubby but the overall effect was sexy, not chubby. If you or your OH have problems with this area of your body you might want to try stockings with a suspender belt instead as they have to grip tightly at the top in order not to fall down.

These look and feel great on, the strips at the top give the same peek-a-boo effect as lace but in a more modern way. These look great just on their own but will also go nicely with costumes, in the bedroom or at Halloween.

The only downside was that they are made of some sort of man-made fibre and got a little bit warm, but not uncomfortably so and I was riding a bicycle at the time (to see if they would stay up of course, nothing to do with slight exhibitionism).

These would be great for first time lingerie wearers as you just pull them out of the packet and slip them on, no messing about with belts and clips et cetera.

Overall, classy and sexy in seconds flat, I will definitely be wearing mine as often as I can.
