The following review is written by my partner who I got the Hand Solo for. Here are his comments:

I was given the Hand Solo and first thoughts were it looks to be of good quality and the packaging was simple and easy to open. No dodgy pictures. The one we received is red, which is nice and bright. I have other strokers and this one is just something a bit different.

I tried it against my hand first of all and wasn’t sure if it was going to be powerful enough. I then applied lube and gave it a go - it’s very different from using either a fully enclosed stroker or just your hand, it’s the halfway house with added buzz. I didn’t think the vibrations were very strong but it was fun to try it out underneath and on top of my penis. It perhaps would be better if it was more malleable or if the sides came around a bit more as it is literally just under or over and doesn't wrap around. Mind you, if you want one that wraps around, you could buy an enclosed one.

For me personally it was a nice sensation and I enjoyed using it but I think it could be more suited to when you first start a session of masturbating or for use with a partner (which we’ll try) as you might find you need to finish off with other ways. It wouldn’t be powerful enough for some people. And having played around with other vibes it seems to be lacking in oomph in that respect. The nodules feel nice but again, not as textured as some other toys.

I like the fact that the bullet is removable, we’ll get use from that separately.

All in all, give it a go but don't expect the galaxy to explode.

More than a bit disappointing

This product was a bit of a disappointment. Although when opening it I was very taken with the resemblance of the product with the mouth of a face hugger alien, not that I have a fantasy involving sex with a face hugging alien!

When it came down to using the thing I looked long and hard for the best way of using it. I settled with lying down as I managed to get the best stimulation on the underside of my penis with my penis pressed against my stomach. The vibrations were noticeable only if you lightly hold the handle, which somewhat spoils the experience.

All things considered I would stick to a Fleshlight as this just didn't quite hit the spot for me. This could be either due to me being the wrong size and shape, or the product just not being that great. I think that this product will find a place to go dusty in my drawer. Shame.

What a letdown

I really wanted to like this product as I have had it in my wishlist for some time now, but the other reviews are correct I am afraid.

It looks pretty good and I got it in bright red so it really stands out. I couldn't wait to give it a go and immediately ripped the usual Lovehoney discreet packaging away. It is a high quality item and certainly looked like an exciting addition to our growing toy collection.

I was so keen to use it when it arrived it didn't take time to lube it and I was really disappointed with the lack of feel from the vibrator through the rubber handle. It was hard to get a firm grip and I nearly gave up.

Second time I added plenty of lube and it was a better experience but still not great. Standing up sitting or lying down didn't make any real difference, although I think lying down was marginally better.

I have a couple of strokers, one by Lovehoney and one by Tracey Cox, either of which are a far better alternative to this I am sorry to say.

I really couldn't recommend this product at any price never mind £24.99.
