I notice these are a bit more expensive than some of the other masturbators, but for a good reason.

The cheaper ones seem to be a bit numbing and can take me quite a long time to climax, whereas the TENGA feels a lot more soothing and soft. You can even carry on the last few strokes without discomfort.

It is not as good as Fleshlight in my opinion, but as to be expected looks good in its case and is great for drying it out. Not sure about leaving it out on display though.

Great design for a leisurely session

Presentation - It quietly lets you know that it is an item of deliberate design and quality, with great attention to detail and precision. It seems sort of anonymous, polite and non-judgemental. No pictures of pouting porn stars, no wide eyed Japanese school girls. Nothing to embarrass or label you.

The sleeve is presented in a see through plastic cylinder slotted onto a black plastic base (keep these - see later). It is very discreet and doesn't even say masturbator on it, the only hint at what it is is found underneath the cylinder where a sticker describes it inconspicuously, in small letters, as a "male pleasure device". This is quite reassuring in case someone other than the intended recipient opens the package. All the stickers can be peeled off easily too.

On first impressions I was surprised at how small it is. I have had a Flip Hole (white) in the past and in my head I expected this to be a similar size. The 3D is much smaller, much narrower, much more discreet. It's about the height of a regular bean can, but half the diameter. It is a similar size to a Head Honcho but seems to have more internal space, looks nicer and is easier to use and clean and more satisfying. A much higher quality product.

Visually, it looks exactly like the photos and videos on the LH page. Stealth opening - not remotely anatomical. Doesn't look like a sex toy, but I'll not be leaving it on the mantelpiece all the same...

Prep - Warm in warm water for a minute or so, then lube up the sleeve and entrance with water based lube (silicone lube will melt most silicon based sleeves).

Texture - It is soft but holds its own shape. The Pile triangles look harsh and angular, but they are very soft and not at all abrasive or edgy. On the Pile texture when looking into the tunnel there are no protrusions as the triangle shapes are uniformly the same height, just spaced out a bit and varying sizes, smaller and more concentrated at the entrance, bigger and more spaced apart at the closed end.

How it feels - The entrance is small, but very stretchy. I am quite girthy and slid in without forcing it (it is easier to enter than the Flip Hole for example). Inside, the sensation going back and forth is sort of steady - not as intense as the Flip Hole white but pleasant, a bit rumbly - like stroking your fingertips over corrugated card. You can't discern the triangle shapes or edges. You can however get good suction by squeezing out the air and then inserting and pulling off again. It is a bit like a blowjob without use of the tongue and can sound a bit squelchy.

As I mentioned, the sleeve is fairly short. It covers just over half of my erection. It is a very soft sleeve however, and as you thrust forwards you can see your head stretching the end of the sleeve to transparency as it strains and pulses. There is no stimulation at the end panel of the sleeve, which can be a good thing it you want a more leisurely session.

I found that for me the most intense way to use the sleeve was to roll it sideways between the palms of my hands - not sure why, but it feels great.

After use - TENGA really do think through the practicalities - the 3D is designed to be easily turned inside out for washing and drying. I'm not aware of any other closed end sleeves that are designed with this in mind. Remember to keep hold of the stand and cover - it is more than just packaging - it really is a handy way to store it to let it dry and keep it from attracting dust. Very easy to clean and store.

Overall it is a quality well designed top end product range for a mid range price, of which the Pile texture is a pleasant mid stimulation texture for the more leisurely session, rather than the wild high intensity of something like the Flip Hole White.
