I bought this as a surprise for my other half as we had been experimenting with roleplay and one of his favourite fantasies was a threesome with another guy.

I have a few other vibrators already, but wanted something that was much more realistic than they were.

It has very quickly become my husband's favourite toy, and we have tried all sorts of scenarios with it.

The suction cup is great and something I didn't know I was missing until I tried it, but it is nice to be able to use it "hands free" and adds to the fantasy.

We don't use it with the vibrator turned on that much, it is good enough as a dildo, and it would be nice if you could remove the wire, although I have tried it out as a vibrator too and was pleasantly surprised. It is powerful and not too loud. But I won't be throwing my rabbit out just yet.

When I read the email that I was going to get a lifelike 6“ vibe to try out as sex toy tester I felt a bit intimidated and maybe a bit disappointed as it was my least favourite thing on the wishlist. Also, I would have never bought myself a lifelike vibe as I was always put off by the look of them. Well how wrong I was!

The Lovehoney Lifelike Realistic 6 Inch Vibrator comes in a tasteful pink and white cardboard box with a plastic inlay. The box shows a picture of the vibe and the remote and lists a few basic facts about the product. It comes with a description on how to use and care for it. It also explains how to insert the batteries into the remote which is really useful. A good wash with warm water and soap (be careful with the plug outlet) gets rid of any plastic smell.

The vibrator looks very much like a real penis and is actually really pretty. It has a nice fleshy colour, is circumcised and in no way does it look horrible or too veiny (my first thoughts about a lifelike vibe). The shaft is nicely firm but still a bit flexible which adds to a lifelike sensation during thrusting. If you are a newbie to lifelike toys like I am, the 6” will be perfectly fine for you. It might even be a little too big for you. In that case, try warming up with a smaller vibe e.g. a bullet vibe and use loads of lube. Being made of skin safe rubber you can use it with both water or silicone based lube whatever suits you best. The material has a nice realistic feel to it and warms up in no time.

The remote has a lovely pink colour (such a sucker for pink :P) and is really easy to use. To turn the vibe on and off you have to press the button on the remote for a few seconds. To continue through the speeds and patterns, you press the button again. A light around the button flashes according to the vibration pattern.

The vibe has three vibration speeds and seven vibration patterns. When you switch it on it starts on the highest vibration setting. If you press the button again, the vibrations slow down and get less intense. I find that a bit confusing as I would rather start with a lower setting and work my way through the different speeds. The patterns range from slow and rumbling to fast and intense. You can really experiment with all different settings until you find the one that pushes you over the edge.

A plus point with this vibe is definitely that it is fairly quiet. In comparison to other toys e.g. the Jessica Rabbit this toy is super quiet and can easily be disguised with a bit of music playing in the background. Also, it is very easy to clean with a bit of soap and warm water.

I have not yet tried out the benefits of the suction cup but I think it will definitely add to the fun. This little fella will definitely help me through my last year of uni being far far away from the boyfriend :)
