Packaging:

Not garish at all. It plays on the 'rock', and currently trendy, 'Ed Hardy' tattoo theme and uses tenuous puns on musical terms such as 'hits every chord' and 'this is one vibe that really turns the bass up'. It's a pleasant change from the usual picture of a horny-looking chick on the front.

Vibe:

The Janis sits in the box, pink and proud, with the partially raised chrome studs, glistening seductively.

First vibe in a long time... that has no smell!

Solid, water-tight construction and is easy to clean.

Easy to control twist-base to regulate the power of the vibrations.

It takes x2 AAA batteries which are not included so don't forget to order these!

The feel:

This is not a flexible vibe (as stated in the previous comment). It is rigid from base to tip. It has a slight curve to its form which helps, when the vibe is manoeuvred, to find your 'chords'.

The smooth silicone is warm to the touch and with the tapered head it popped right in without lube... (although I was very excited already by this point so lube wasn't really needed!).

Personally I am a girth and length kind of girl. Yeah, I know the old adage... It's what you do with it that counts... But I have put this little pink 'part punk' through rigorous testing and the size of this vibe just doesn't cut it. My sweet spot didn't get its 'bass' turned up at all. The vibrations do not travel up the shaft and in addition to this it's less than generous girth, did not make the neighbouring organs in my body, bang on the walls demanding that I turn it down.

Having said that though let's not neglect to mention the vibe's head. Now this, my fellow head bangers, is where the party is rocking!

As well as girth and length, I'm a power hungry gal and this vibe has just made my eyes light up!

Pink pop princess

The Doc Johnson Janis was very pink and made me think more of pop princess than rock star, but you cannot judge a book by it's cover so I have put this through a proper testing.

The silicone shaft is very soft and warm to the touch, it is also quite flexible. Not flexible enough for me to find my G-spot though but then I have not yet found a toy that does. The vibrations on this are not the strongest I have felt but are enough to achieve orgasm through clitoral stimulation.

On the plus side the shape of the end made it easy to hold on to and move to the right places, even when coated in lube. The speed control is simple to use.

Janis cleaned easily, even the textured silver coloured part and the joins presented no problems.

The packaging is a simple plastic pack which is a little garish but okay for keeping the vibe in safely.

Overall this was an okay vibe. If you prefer less direct stimulation then the shape of this would suit you.
