So having already read The Initiation of Ms Holly I was looking for something to follow on with and found this!

The book does not directly follow on and contains different characters, which is refreshing and means you don't get bored!

It goes into more detail about The Pet Shop, which is where the rich go to play out their fantasies of having human pets or being a human pet!

I couldn't put it down and got through the book in a couple of days! The book has a storyline behind the Pet Shop and there are unexpected twists along the plot.

If you liked 50 Shades or The Initiation of Ms Holly, you will love this as it is an ultimate Dom/sub fantasy!

Having read K D Grace's the Initiation of Ms Holly and absolutely loved it I couldn't wait to read the next offering, especially as it continued on a theme in the previous book that sparked an interest for me.

When Stella is sent a 'gift' from her boss at work it isn't at all what she was expecting. With the arrival of a human pet, Stella slowly begins to see the attraction of keeping and being a pet. The fireworks soon start to fly and Stella is drawn in to discovering her inner animal!

I found the characters in the book so easy to relate to, which isn't surprising as they all have two sides! And I don't think it matters if you're submissive or dominate as this book caters for both sides wonderfully.

I loved the fact that the book tells you the rules of being a pet in depth so I could really understand what it would be like. This is important for me as I like to truly enter into the story and imagine myself in the thick of it!

The sex is obviously mind-blowingly hot throughout but it still didn't detract from the plot. K D Grace has got the balance just right here as the plot asks questions but doesn't detract from the sexual heat either.

I did find the plot to be slightly predictable but this did not in any way spoil the book for me.

Overall verdict:

The Pet Shop is such an outstanding story. Besides the scorching hot erotica it is still an exciting story with intelligent characters and so much emotional substance. K D Grace is fast becoming my favourite erotic author and I can't wait to see what she writes next!

The Pet Shop started slow for me. At first I was upset that I wasn't as enthralled by it as the "Initiation of Ms Holly" but by the end I was loving it just as much.

I find K D Grace's books to have fantastic stories in them while still giving you the hot sex script you're after! This one did the exact same. I would suggest this is the most story-orientated book of hers, but what a good story it was.

I have to say I didn't notice this twist that all the reviews seem to be on about. If it was about the main brains behind the pet shop then I wouldn't really say that was a twist but a given throughout!

A fantastic read which enhanced an already great story from the Initiation of Ms Holly. I would suggest that you buy and read that book first as all the knowledge of the Pet Shop may ruin the fantasies that the Initiation of Ms Holly creates. But both definitely worth a read!
