I bought this with slight apprehension for my gorgeous OH. I had previously bought her a medium plug which she really enjoyed but after a year or so I thought she might be up for something a little bigger.

The other reviews made me worry this was going to be massive but when it arrived I was relieved to see it was bigger than her previous plug but nothing too crazy!

I gave this to her as a Xmas pressie and her eyes lit up when she opened it. She was very excited to try something bigger. We lubed it up and after a little persistence, it was in and OMG, she loved it! Using this combined with G-vibe in her pussy is a winning combo!

It's made really well and the contoured shape really eases it in. I wouldn't recommend this to an anal newbie but if you're comfortable with medium plugs, this would be a nice step-up.

Pleasantly surprised

After reading the reviews I was expecting this butt plug to be huge. So I was quite disappointed when I saw it was smaller than I imagined.

I grabbed the little free sachet of i-glide lube that came with it (nice little touch and free mints). I lubed up and decided to have a little play. I must admit I did struggle it first, but once it popped in after about 15 mins of persuading the chill that ran through me was intense.

Then had the plug inserted for about an hour, which bought on the hardest of hard erections which my good lady was only too pleased to relieve me of.

All in all may not be the biggest but sure does pack a power punch.

Even more of a bargain as I managed to buy it as a daily special at £8.50.

Tantalising Large Tentacle Plug

Already having added both the small and medium sized Lovehoney Snug plugs to my toy collection, I was impressed with the curvy tentacle like design of the Snug range of plugs and was determined to own the size large plug so as to complete my Snug collection and have the cute trio of plugs (in their three different colours) to sit out on my bedside locker.

Packaging:

The Large Snug plug arrived promptly from Lovehoney, Packaged in a white box which features Lovehoney's heart-shaped logo. Like all Lovehoney packaging I have experienced, the packaging is completely free of any seedy sexual imagery. On the front of the box is a photo of the product contained within, along with the caption ‘Deliciously fulfilling satisfaction. On one side of the box is material and care information and once opened, within the box there is a small information leaflet with tips on how to use the Snug plug.

In this leaflet you will find a list of suggested positions for using the Snug plug and tips on how to help create a comfortable experience if you are new to plugs, it also lists the three sizes of Snug plug that are available and suggests what experience levels they are most suited for. The plug itself sits in a plastic moulded tray which slides out of the box.

First Impression:

My first thought upon removing the Large Snug plug from its packaging and holding it in my hands was how much bigger it is compared to the size medium which is small enough to be perfect for intermediates instead. In person, the Large plug is a wonderful matt black just as shown in the product photos on site. The two smaller plugs available in the Snug range of plugs are pink (the small) and purple (the medium) the black colour of the size large makes it the most unisex friendly of the three. To the feel, the silicone has that ‘drag’ that you get with most silicone toys and also attracts dust like most silicone toys tend to do.

My measurements of the Large Snug plug are:

Insertable Length: 5 Inches

Circumference of tip: 3 1/2 Inches

Circumference of bulbed base: 6 3/4 Inches

This is definitely a toy for the more experienced anal players out there.

To the squeeze, the slimmer tip of the plug has a bit of give to it. With both the small and medium version of the Snug plug there is more bend lower down the length of the plug but the size large is quite hard to bend at all and has a very solid feel to it.

In Use:

When I invested in my Large Snug plug, I did so with the intention of using mine vaginally rather than as a butt plug. As a growing fan of tentacle shaped/themed dildos I suspected this would make a pleasing tentacle probe. I personally can’t ever see myself managing to use the whole of the Large plug anally so I can only really review its function as a probing toy or dildo.

In use, the plugs slimmer tip definitely comes in handy for easy and comfortable insertion. To look at, the sides of the plug have a very visible seam but this is relatively smooth to the touch and luckily cannot be felt during use. Being made of silicone and featuring the ‘drag’ that I always associate with silicone toys, I would recommend adding a drop of water-based lube to the plug before getting started, especially as the plug has such an increase in girth as you get lower down its shaft.

The first three Inches of the toy are easily inserted, with anything after that requiring some warm up first. With three Inches that insert comfortably and a slight curve at the tip of the toy, I found the plug to create far more stimulation than expected, especially to the G-spot. Looking at the shape of the toy and knowing that it wasn’t particularly designed to be used vaginally I had almost expected the shape to be awkward in use this way but somehow what looks like only the slightest of curves at the toy tip turns this into a G-spot probe. I obviously can’t speak for how this toy would work anally but in my experience toys that work well at reaching the G-spot tend to also work well as prostate stimulating toys, mix that with the sheer size of this plug and I can imagine those brave enough to take the large plug are in for an intense experience!

All three sizes of snug plug feature suction cups and I found that as the size of the plugs gets larger so does the quality of suction cup. Once you find a smooth surface, the Large Snug plug has no trouble staying put, even when put to the test.

Material/Care:

Made of Silicone, the Snug plug is both Latex and Phthalates free, silicone is completely non-porous meaning that it can be fully disinfected by boiling it for 3 minutes or by throwing it into the top rack of your dishwasher or it can be simply washed after use with warm soapy water or specialized toy cleaner, it is generally believed that silicone based lubricants should not be used with silicone toys. I would recommend using a water-based lubricant with the Snug plug.
