Swoon Burning Desire Massage Candle - Mint
Reviewed: 01 Nov 2011 by Sunshine2009, a Married Bisexual Female
This candle comes in a lovely silver heart-shaped tin with a lid. Perfect for easy storage.
When I removed the lid I noticed a lovely minty smell. Not too strong or overpowering just perfect. It also comes with a little spoon inside.
On lighting the candle the smell still smelt very pleasant and burnt very well. We allowed the candle to burn for some time then blew the flame out. We used this as a massage oil. It felt lovely on the skin. It has a very soft, smooth texture. It feels warm but not hot enough to burn.
After using we noticed that the skin felt very soft and had a light mint smell to it.

After lusting over a massage candle for a long time I finally bought this in a LH deal! The price put me off originally as I’m on a student budget but as a fan of massage, and candles for that matter, I had to get one somehow.
I’m not overly fussed with floral or fruity scents so the mint candle seemed like the perfect choice. With Lovehoney’s exceptional postal standards this arrived very quickly in the normal discreet brown box. The tin the candle is in is maybe not as nice as I would have liked, I don’t feel the design is something I would leave out in my room though maybe I’m just being a bit of a snob (oops!). When you open the tin the scent is quite overpowering but you get a lot of candle wax and small spoon with it too.
Lighting the candle the scent is still very strong, but being a fan of mint and this is more pepperminty than anything else, I loved it. The wax takes quite a while to melt and you’ll need to wait to get a substantial amount but once on the skin it works wonderfully. It is not too hot at first touch and will not burn and like massage oil is rubs well into skin, leaving it smelling great and feeling soft. I love that it's warm as it adds another sensation to the massage.
I would definitely recommend this. As a treat or a romantic gift it is lovely just to relax for half an hour and be pampered and what better way to do it then with candles!
The price is a little steep, but after purchasing this as a deal originally, once it runs out (which will probably be a while, a little goes a long way) I will be purchasing another and I don’t think the full price would put me off.

Me and my OH had already tried a strawberry one of these and he decided to surprise me with one of these too!
It is really really good, but if you're not one for strong smells it isn't for you! It does make the room smell really sweet, but when my OH was massaging it into my back his eyes started watering and he couldn't stand it!
Overall it is a really good massage oil, as long as you aren't directly above where you're rubbing it onto!
It's also a good one if you aren't a fan of hot wax as it doesn't burn too hot but just right.
