I decided to purchase the Lovehoney Magic Wand after hearing good things about the mains operated version. Personally I sometimes struggle to reach the big "O" and the idea of a strong and powerful vibrator ticks my boxes. However being on a budget, and having never tried a wand vibrator before I decided to try the cheaper battery operated version first. just in case it wasn't for me.

Ok, so the pros: Firstly POWER: this wand does pack a punch! As it says in the description it was 8 different settings. The first 3 are the continuous vibration settings, On most other vibrators I usually have to switch to the highest setting to reach orgasm. However with this vibrator setting 2 was enough giving an indication of this vibrators intensity.

DESIGN/FEEL: You can tell that this vibrator is not going to fall apart within a month. It looks and feels sturdy and with its batteries it has a nice bit of weight to it. I personally liked this, but some may find it a negative if holding it for long periods of time. The material used to make the head is good quality and feels nice against the skin with a little lube, it also has grooves which add a little extra sensation. The head is also pretty flexible (there must be a spring of some kind inside the purple material joining the head to the base) and it bends if you apply pressure. I was worried that this may mean I couldn't really apply pressure in case of bending it too far, however it is a pretty strong spring and there isn't too much worry about there. In fact I think without this movement it wouldn't be such a comfortable toy to use. Another good thing about this vibrator is that because of the shape of the head, it is suitable for all those ladies who enjoy an all over sensation over the clitoris and vagina. So maybe not as suitable for ladies who prefer the vibrations in a very distinct small area. However because it is so powerful it will still be giving you more than enough stimulation to take you there! Another amazing thing about this vibrator, it makes a fantastic massager for other areas of your body too. I suffer with shoulder pain and I used this a few times to ease out a few knots and it was powerful enough to work the muscle.

CONS: Okay it is a bit noisy. You would probably need some background noise to disguise this vibrator esp when it is on its high settings. I have noticed that the head of the vibrator can get pretty warm almost hot if you have been using the vibrator for more than say, 15/20 minutes on high power. It actually can feel pretty nice and add to the sensation! However I was pretty worried I was maybe burning the poor thing out. And unfortunately I think I did as after owning this for a few months it started to cut out on me usually after that 10/15 minute mark after it started to get warm. I did return to love honey. Who, by the way, have some of the best customer service and returns policies I have ever seen, and they sent me a replacement that arrived so fast I wondered if they had even received the faulty one! However I am really sorry to say that the second one had the same fault. :( sadface as this really was a good powerful vibrator with very few flaws overall. I would also add as well that due to medication I do take a long time to reach orgasm so I really don't feel like this fault was entirely down to the vibrator. So this is just a little warning for ladies who take forever like myself, maybe go straight for the mains operated one!
