The leggings arrived in a simple box without lots of fussy packaging, which was great.

Taking the leggings out of the box, they were all "stuck" to each other - presumably because of the spandex type material so took a moment to shake them out and into shape.

Upon looking at them they're not as shiny as in the picture; I think there is some great lighting in the photograph. That said, they are sort of shiny and do have a wet look about them. The photo perhaps makes them look a bit PVCish but they're not as shiny as that.

Sizing

I'm a 16/18 and know that when I order lingerie and clothing it sometimes comes up small. I think this would fit an 18-20 quite comfortably and possibly even 22 but being leggings they're a tad unforgiving so wonder if they would comfortably fit a 22/24 around the waist.

Additionally, I’m a tall lady (6”1’) and whilst they do fit in the leg I would have preferred them being a little longer, so think they would fit someone nicely if they were under 5”11’ but equally I don’t think they’d fit a petite person because they’d just be too long.

Quality

I actually wasn’t bowled over by the quality, which was a little surprising. Firstly, there were white-ish marks on the outside of the leggings, some of which I was able to wipe away but others I couldn’t and are still on there.

Secondly, I could see where the back of the leggings had been sewn up, unpicked and re-sewn in the correct place; and I wasn’t exactly scrutinising them, I just noticed it when I was trying to get rid of the white marks.

Also, some of the metal eyelets had popped out on the back of the leggings which means that the material could rip if you pull on the string. And just to top it off, the lining on the inside of the leggings which lines the eyelets, was in places, ripped; like the person making them had accidentally put the eyelet through the liner and then pulled it back out to correct it. This is a big negative in my book but I’m not sure if it’s just an unlucky pair?

The Look

When I had them on they looked quite good – the lacing on the back of the legs takes AGES to sort and get comfortable. Be prepared to spend ages putting them on and taking them off to get it right. Ideally, a second person could help you but if you were trying them as a surprise for the other half, a second person was not handy!

The lace up back is adjustable so if you have larger calves or slimmer calves, it fits to your legs perfectly. Teamed with a pair of black high heels they looked good. Despite the description saying it is elastic thread I’d disagree! The lace is more like string – I’d be tempted to replace it with some thin sexy silk ribbon which you could co-ordinate colour wise with whatever else it is you’re wearing (or not!)

The elastic around the top of the leggings is rather basic and not very pretty – could definitely have done some work to make this prettier but this is possibly a picky point since no one is really looking at the waistband. However, if you were wearing in the bedroom with just a bra for example I feel like the waistband area would let the look down a little.

There is some stretch in them so they fitted well around my bum well and didn’t feel like they were pulling, but as mentioned earlier I’m not sure if I’d recommend them to larger ladies.

Overall, I’d say if you were around size 18-20 but a bit shorter these would be a great fit and you could totally wear them outside of the bedroom.

The quality issues aren’t evident unless you take them off and look at them, and if you was wearing them no-one is going to be looking at the missing eyelets, believe me (1) but I felt in fairness I should mention it since if I was spending this much on a pair of leggings I’d want them to be much better finished and without the marks.

Baggy

When the product came I was very anxious to try it on. However the product was baggy on the knees and didn't fit like the model.

The lace back was not as fitted either as the model's one. This product did not make me feel beautiful and my partner was very unhappy that he couldn't see it on me.

An Over-priced Disappointment

When these arrived this morning I was excited to get them out of their box, which I must add was a nice touch rather than just packaging them in clear bags.

After taking the leggings out and unsticking them I was disappointed to see they weren't even half as shiny as on the photograph (the main reason I bought them was because I loved the shine they had). They do have a slight wet look to them, just not quite what I'd imagined.

I usually wear a size 16 but often buy a size up when ordering online. The sizing was not quite the right proportions; more of a slim-ish fit to the legs but then ballooning at the waist. I'm not sure they'd fit up to a size 24; but pretty certain they'd fit up to a small-ish size 20 at a push if you've got quite slim legs.

When they're on they look alright (but does the price justify them looking just alright?). Thankfully I'd read one of the other reviews and decided to make sure they were nicely laced up before even attempting to put them on.

On the legs they look quite good but round the waist they don't look great. They're quite baggy round the waist (probably to them being a larger fit) but why so baggy in the crotch?!

The elastic on the waistband also doesn't seem particularly strong and I feel that these could come down; which wouldn't look sexy!

The quality isn't particularly fantastic either, particularly the feel of the fabric and the stitching.

All in all, these leggings aren't quite the wet look, shiny leggings described or photographed. Sizing is a little disproportional and I'm not sure they'd look good worn with just a bra. Perhaps if they were to be worn with a longer top for going out in and the waist/tummy area couldn't be seen then they'd be alright.

Overall a disappointment for the price and will definitely be returning them.
