I had my eyes on the Oceanics Sliquid lube for some time and I am really glad I opted for this lube when buying lube after almost running out of stock. My options when selecting lubes are highly limited because of my intolerance for glycerine and parabens. Sliquid is one of the brands I would highly recommend to people with the same issue.

I have to say that this is the best lube for me from the Sliquid range I tried so far. I find that the consistency is just right - it is not as runny as the H2O and it does not dry so quickly as the Natural lube, while having some thicker consistency to it. It is not sticky, seems to last decently long time. And even with frequent use the bottle itself lasts long time.

I would not recommend this for oral sex, the taste does remind me bit of a soap, but otherwise this is a really good lube. Suitable also for those who are suffering glycerine and paraben sensitivity.

Slick, Pleasurable and Completely Free Of Nasties

I was given a few Sliquid products to test out by Dean after we did our videos in which he explains the ranges available. This is a new one - Oceanics.

I hadn't used Sliquid before so I was looking forward to testing out something from the range. I decided to use it with the boyfriend to see how well it held up for a full session - foreplay, vaginal sex, anal sex and sex toy play.

The stuff smells and tastes of nothing, it's completely neutral which is always a plus during play. The content is entirely natural, cruelty free and Vegan friendly. I eat more meat than veg and use all kinds of gunk during sex, but it did make a smile to know that for once I'd be doing things like a nice girl.

I applied it to t'other half (I find this is my default method, heh) and I was really generous with the amount, partially because I wasn't really looking in the right direction at the time. Anyhoo, a lot went on there and it created a thick, slick coating with virtually no friction. It really lends itself to a good ball massage, just don't get carried away or your lover is likely to think you're merely stressed and not really in the mood for sex. ;) I actually lost my grip a couple of times during play - so watch those nails if you dig the plastic-fingers look. He was enjoying the additional stimulation he felt with the lube and therefore wasn't at all bothered that he was once again being used as part of my homework. Hehe. Foreplay win - first box checked.

Turning to sex, no problems at all. It felt great inside and out and the added slip made clitoral contact effortless, I found myself getting worked up quite quickly. It wasn't drying out and mixed wonderfully with my own vegan-unfriendly lube to last the distance. Another lube checkbox ticked.

When it comes to anal, it just didn't cut it. I'm not sure what the issue was, but as I started to slide him in, he went waaaay too fast. He knows what he's doing with anal, so it's not a case of being 'too excited'. If anything, the lube was just too slippy and it didn't allow me to use enough resistance for a slow initial insertion. Yeouch! Quickest anal session ever - half an insertion and that was it for me. So yeah, I'd suggest applying something thicker if you're planning to move onto anal.

After our initial session, I'd sent him back to his own place and had a shower. Before bed I got out a few toys - a rather large butt plug I've taken to using vaginally and a rabbit. This lube is perfectly safe to use with my silicone toys - they're all happily in tact after a clean up and I'll have no reason to not use this with them in future.

The slippy friction-free texture of this lube complemented ABS and silicone beautifully, but didn't seam to work as well with jelly rubber... not that it wasn't well lubed, but it just didn't feel as good for some reason. T'was all about this stuff on the silicone rabbit. Whoop!

This is ideal for vaginal penetration and sex toy use, but I'd go for something else for anal.

Slippery Sliquid

We got this as a replacement for our normal lube, as we are keen to stay away from nasty chemicals like parabens. The bottle has changed from the picture (to date) but is the same as in the video. It is simple in design with a clear plastic bottle so you can see when you're getting low. That's not likely to happen anytime soon mind you - it is quite runny compared with our previous lubes and a little goes a long way! The label is clear and unoffensive; I would have no issue keeping it next to the bed.

The bottle comes sealed beneath the lid to prevent leaks, you just have to unscrew it, remove the tab and screw the lid back on. I like the convenient bottle top; it keeps things clean but is handy for travelling and storing away, with no pumps to get in the way. The lube has no discernible scent and no taste to it. It is slightly more expensive per ml than our other lubes, but definitely worth the extra cost, just for the ingredients.

All in all, I was really hoping that we would get on with this product and we most certainly have done. This will definitely be our new standard lubricant - it does the job perfectly. If you care about what you put in or on your body (particularly your most important bits) then buy it now.
