Tempo is only the first in the new S2 series from Aneros. - What I will therefore surmise and cleverly assume will be a whole line of equally excellent anal toys and stimulators - because it is excellent! At least in all the areas where we discuss packaging, fabrication, material and so on. But it does have a few minor details… well, kinks, is probably a better word for my minor misgivings – which we’ll get into in a little bit.

Now first off: When you get the little nondescript package from Lovehoney, take a moment to enjoy the box the Tempo snugly resides in, will you? Black, thick cardboard, opening and closing via hidden magnets inside. The Aneros name in silver letters and it just exudes luxurious content from miles away. The be fair, it reminds me a bit of the box the Stilo comes in, so they might have taken a little peak in that direction, but that doesn’t make it any less fantastic. I love it when a toy arrives and blows me away – and I haven’t even seen the damn toy yet!

First impressions go something like this: Ohh... Pretty... Shiny… Heavy... And totally awesome! It’s not very big... It almost looks ‘delicate’ in a way. Even though I’m fully away that it’s stainless steel and probably tougher than most other toys we have, it still has an aura of being exquisitely delicate. It’s just gorgeous to look at.

Now, as always I was ready for my tug-of-war with my Other Half. Especially sine the Tempo is fabricated, honed and actually meant to be a unisex toy. But I guess she knew how badly I wanted to try this one on for size – so to speak. So she handed me the box, turned and went back to our home office. I ran to the bedroom!

So there I was, with lube in one hand, toy in the other, and I was looking at this little thing. I was a bit unsure if I actually needed lube… I know; I usually recommend lube for… well, more or less anything. But this thing is shaped to slide in with no real resistance. It’s definitely not intimidating and as predicted; it slid right in. It was still cold - still retaining the cool temperature… It felt… well, to be honest; besides the temperature, I didn’t feel much at all.

The Tempo is so designed, that the base - and the tiny neck just before the base flares out - is thin. Very thin. You hardly feel anything in those areas where your sphincter muscles - and the sensitive nerves there are located. So what’s left is prostate massage, but again; I didn’t feel much at all. The Tempo is so designed, that the shaft is straight, and therefore won’t put much – if any – pressure on the P-spot.

I love hand-free orgasms, so... Some Stoya/Sasha Grey action on the screen and I tried concentrating on the muscles and motions in my pelvic floor for a while, - nothing really going on there... Switch to some Belladonna action and I tried rocking a bit - sitting on my arse - trying to grind it into the mattress… But the base is so thin/tiny, that it’s impossible to get something going here. Disappointed would be an understatement. But apparently my Other Half got thinking, because she pulled me close, and started giving me a BJ… And then I felt it! So final though would be: Unless you’re trying to get hands-free orgasms this thing rocks! In every kind of sexual play we’ve done, the Tempo has been phenomenal. Packaging makes it perfect as a gift to a loved one - and certainly as your guy’s first introduction to anal play and pleasure.
