This set arrived packaged in a discreet plastic wrapper inside a Jiffy bag that was small enough to fit through the letterbox so there was no need to deal with the postman at 8am!

Upon opening the package I was immediately struck by two things: how nice the set was and how small the main part of the outfit seemed to be.

The description for this set states that it fits a size 14-18, which would imply that it is a little stretchy, but the dress has no give whatsoever. Whatever size it actually is (14 at a guess) is what it will fit, not a 16 (which I am) and certainly not an 18! I actually thought Lovehoney may have sent me the wrong size but the label definitely states L/XL, which the Lovehoney website says should be 14-18. The manufacturers size chart actually states that L/XL is a 14-20!!!

Even though it is too small, I still couldn't help admiring this set. The outfit comprises of the main dress, a lace choker, fishnet thong and a pair of lace cuffs. All parts are made from good quality fabrics and are lovely and soft, there is none of that scratchy rubbish here. The fishnet, while having no give, is very strong and seems unlikely to rip or come apart even under heavy use. The apron is attached to the dress although the belt is separate and is made from soft polyester-type fabric rather than the PVC stated in the description.

The description also suggests that the lace cuffs can be used as garters but unless you have very skinny thighs you won't be able to get them above your knees!

Unlike the elasticated cuffs, the choker is only partly elasticated and has ribbons that need to be tied. I am not really a fan of tying anything around my neck but I found that the choker does make a lovely hair band and both myself and my partner think it looks nicer that way.

Overall, it is a gorgeous set and while the sizing leaves a lot to be desired. This set is almost worth it for the accessories alone.
