Fever Fingerless Lace Gloves 9 out of 10 (6 reviews) Write your own review

With a taste for fingerless gloves and everything lace, I recently added the Fever Fingerless Lace Gloves to an order as quite a spur of the moment buy. With their very reasonable price tag, I took a risk though I had some concerns about itchy/scratchy lace and them maybe being too big for my petite hands.
The Fever Fingerless Lace Gloves arrive in clear plastic with a paper top which shows the gloves being modelled and gives some care information. Inside the clear plastic, each glove sits on a cardboard four-fingered hand so that the gloves keep their shape, this gives you an idea of what they will look like during wear too.
Seeing the gloves in person for the first time, they have a lace pattern that matches the product page photos well. Feeling the material of them while still on their cardboard hands, they did feel a little rough or like they may scratch during wear.
To look at, they are as similar to the product page photos as I hoped with their flowery lace pattern and different lace trim along the fingers. The cuffs of the gloves are wide and roomy with some flare and there is some elastication that gives the gloves a flattering shape on the wrist before it then flares out.
Overall the look of the gloves is quite retro with their old style lace pattern and flared cuffs, they are pleasantly true to the product page photos too with no detail varying from the packaging or page photos.
Sliding them on my hands for the first time, the lace did feel rougher than I had hoped and I could imagine them starting to get quite scratchy after some time wearing them. The fit was surprisingly good on my small hands with enough room to move and use my hands but not so much room that they felt loose at all.
The elastication around the wrists of the gloves is comfortable as it doesn’t make much contact with thinner wrists but does give the gloves a shape that is flattering and can fit larger wrists and arms, while still not looking loose on small wrists.
The lace trim on the fingers of the gloves felt nice and roomy so you can make a fist or use your hands freely while wearing the gloves. On my short fingers they covered about three quarters of the length of my fingers without really affecting my ability to use my hands for anything.
While I can’t see myself wearing these as a bedroom item with lingerie, I can easily see myself wearing these in the winter to add some detail to an outfit. The widely flared cuffs can either be tucked under sleeves or fit over it easily and the lace feels sturdy enough for wearing day to day.
If you are sensitive to the rougher lace material, these work well for layering over woollen fingerless gloves too and the wide cuffs look great when mixed an underlayer, the lace stands out well when worn over different coloured gloves too.
- Great value, comfortable stretch, look well in wear.
- Material can be rough/scratchy.
- Bottom line
- Overall I’m pretty pleased with these, for the price they can't be beat.
