      I looked at this for a long time before I bought it as I already had several similar products. I'm so glad I bought it as it completely delivers!

      It's lightweight, flexible, looks great and leaves a lovely mark. It is perfect for role-playing and for use in combination with something softer. I would definitely recommend this ;)

      We were looking for a cane with plenty of bite but all this bit was a hole out of our pockets!

      The cane consists of a single stick which isn't that smooth or sanded with some black DIY tape wrapped around it and a little ribbon looped on the end. I could easily have made this for myself in less than 5 minutes and for one tenth of the price!

      It seems strong enough although I wouldn't want to use it too hard as it isn't that smooth and could possibly leave splinters which is definitely not what we desire!

      It did leave me with some nice red strip marks that lasted a day or so but the sting doesn't last and doesn't really make you that sore. Not necessarily a bad thing but we did have to move on to more sturdy toys for a decent THAWK!

      I wouldn't recommend this product... not because its a hugely terrible item but more because of the price. It couldn't be justified why they are asking 14.99 for it! I urge you to go and spend a lot less in a DIY store and buy something worth the money from here!

      Ok so yes it hurts - and leave some temporary marks. It's reasonably strong.
      Cons
      The local DIY store sells what I would need to make one for under £2!
      Bottom line
      Too expensive for a stick with some tape wrapped around it!
