The Science

The Bondage Boutique Adjustable Leather Cock Ring is an adjustable cock ring made from leather. That is to say it is a ring that is placed around your penis, not your favourite barnyard bird. Do not make this mistake.

The cock ring came in a plastic wrapper with a Bondage Boutique loyalty card, 2 extra stamps, and NO instructions.

I have never used a cock ring before, so I was hoping for some guidance as I was unsure how to best use it and was scared of doing myself harm, as I have managed to hurt my penis a couple of times through sexual misadventures.

Hitting the internet taught me some useful information about cock rings, how they work, and how to use them. I was thus pre-warned to be aware not to use for longer than half an hour and to remove it if I feel numbness.

I would have liked to have been made aware of this by the product itself.

The ring is made from two layers of leather.

It is 32cm long, 1.5cm wide and the two layers have a combined thickness of 3mm.

The ring has 8 pop studs and 8 receivers for the studs. Each stud is approx 1.7cm apart.

The studs require only a little pressure to click into place and hold tightly. Even so it is remarkably easy to remove the ring when required.

It is capable of being fastened in such a way to create a circle with diameter between 5cm & 9cm.

As such it is best placed around the penis and testicles together.

The fastenings make it easy to remove, and the leather is soft and flexible, quite comfortable on the skin.

The ring is best affixed by wrapping it around the penis and scrotum and clasping it closed as tight as it goes, and then popping all the studs in for a uniform appearance.

This should have an almost immediate effect as the blood is incapable of leaving the penis, making it engorged and hard. This can be quite shocking the first time you see it, but do not worry.

Given the nature of how the ring affixed, those with long pubic hair may get it caught, I was honestly quite happy that I have kept mine trimmed.

The leather construction is quite handy, as firstly it will absorb sweat and moisture, keeping its softness and form and secondly it should be quite wipe clean if you do make a mess on it. Cleaning between the studs could be tricky but not beyond a damp cloth.

The Kink

I got the ring out of the wrapper and put it on. It took several attempts to get it tight enough to have a decisive effect - I had to make it as tight as possible, which was slightly fiddly - and the effect was astounding. The veins stuck right out, it swelled to its full length and engorged wider than I had seen in a long time.
