I wanted to try this lube as a delay product, but looking at the packaging I think it is aimed more as an anal lube, with its slogan 'takes the fussy out of your bottom'.

The packaging is very masculine looking, but stylish and lists the ingredients and a brief description of the product. It doesn't state in the description whether it is vaginally safe, and just to make sure, I went to the official boy butter website and they confirmed that it is safe for vaginal use.

I love the pump-action bottle, its clean and convenient to use and one 'pump' dispenses as much lube as you would need.

I like the consistency of the boy butter, unlike other water-based lubes it looks and feels very creamy and smooth. It has a very very faint smell, but it is pleasant.

It didn't last as long as other water-based lubes i've used, but for me this was a good thing. I wanted it to help my husband last longer, but not to desensitize me, so I was glad that it was absorbed quite quickly.

I licked it, to see what it tastes like (in the interest of this review, you understand! ;-)) It turns out that was a bit of a mistake. It made my tongue and lips go numb almost immediately! Although it did prove that it does what it says on the tin!

My husband said it didn't take any of the enjoyment out of sex, but it did seem to help him hold back easier, so I call that a result!

For anal play I would say that perhaps it doesn't last long enough, and that an oil or silicone-based product may be better, but if condoms are being used, then this is probably a great alternative, but you may need to re-apply it.
