This was one of the products I've wanted for a good while and finally gave in when I realised that it doesn't stay in stock for long! I have previously purchased a similar item by Kiss Me Deadly called the Candy Box Longline Girdle. The main difference is that the Candy Box girdle was a roll on and didn't have the adjustable clips on the back. In my review I'll try and explain this product as well as give a comparison to the other girdle.

Style, Look and Quality:

There is one thing you can expect from any Kiss Me Deadly garment and it's that they scream quality. This original style girdle will not let you down. The fabrics are strong stretchy net-like fabric that is not scratchy at all. I love how there are opaque panelings on the girdle. There is a main opaque block area going horizontally across the midsection- hiding any lumps and bumps. And the half sheer fabric is held tightly along the sides to the back where the hook clips are securely held. There are 3 different size clippings you can adjust to.

There are 6 strong metal garter clips. These are places outwardly so that there is a clear highly cut rear design. The other roll on girdle does not have this feature. On each garter there's a black bow and also another on the front at the top hem. This adds a beautiful feminine touch.

Fit, Support and Comfort:

As a size 18 I purchased the 18-20 XL size. I found that this fit comfortably for me. However it was quite a struggle to wear the first time round. The adjustable hook sizing were a wonderful touch as I think it's perfect for a person who's not always the same size and/or wishes to put on or lose weight. Be aware though- It fitted well for me on the largest hook setting. For a size 20+ it may fit uncomfortably tight.

I found a clear distinction in support from this girdle and the roll on one. There was more support on this. I think the opaque reinforcement lines have an effect as the other doesn't have this either. There is no doubt that this girdle helps create the most painless gorgeous Marilyn Monroe effect! I absolutely adore it and it makes me feel stunning.

Packaging and Delivery:

Delivery is fast and discreet as always even with the free option! The girdle came in just a see through plastic bag which I was happy with as it was easier to get into the product. I'd advise extra gift wrapping if intended as a gift, however I found the minimal packaging eco-friendly.

Verdict:

Without a shadow of a doubt a staple piece in my lingerie drawer. Every woman needs one of these to bring out their assets. Only criticism is that I don't always wear stockings with it and the garters get in the way. However, if they were detachable I don't think they'd be as stable. I love wearing this under everyday clothing as well as a lingerie piece. Gorgeous with and without a bra if you're feeling naughty.

Note: I've also created a makeshift bustier out of this successfully.

I ummmmed and ahhhhed about this for a while but I am so glad my OH went ahead and bought it for me.

This is very well made. Thye material is stretchy enough to be comfortable but firm enough to hold you in at all the right places. The fastenings are secure and there is a choice of 3 widths to fasten, ensuring it gives the best fit possible.

The six stockings straps give a very secure fit. The stockings straps are not adjustable but I prefer this as it means there is no slipping down of my stockings. The metal clasps hold the stockings well and do not loosen through out the day, another huge plus. The clasps are easy to use, no flimsy little plastic claps that takes far too long to grip your stockings properly as there are with other stockings clasps.

This gives you a great shape and very comfortable. I have worn this many times and feel great. I have an issue with stockings slipping down but this has never happened while wearing this.

I recently wore it to a wedding and lasted all day and late into the night without feeling uncomfortable or desperate to take it off.

My dresses and skirts fit so much better while wearing this but I still feel sexy and classy, not all fuddy duddy as I expected to. Real retro class and chic style... there is nothing more I could ask from this.

Since this arrived the other week I have constantly looked for excuses to wear it. I simply can't get enough of the way it makes me feel when I'm wearing it. It's on under my work uniform, when I'm out with friends, when I'm at home, it only comes off when I go to sleep.

The girdle is beautiful in design and pulls everything in slightly to give a smoother silhouette with the beauty of being able to wear stockings and still feel sexy and comfortable at the same time. What more could a girl want?!

It might sound strange but I feel empowered wearing this beautiful creation. I'm naturally curvy and this just defines my curves even more; far better than any shapewear I've found on the high street.

The design itself is fantastic. The top doesn't roll up and the suspenders are nice and chunky and finished with pretty feminine bows, all while not being over the top, making attaching stockings less fiddly.

My only one qualm is that the suspenders can't be varied in length. Depending on which brand of stockings I wear, some come up longer/shorter than others and can be a little trickier to attach. (But that really is nit picking) Also, pretty packaging would be better than a plastic bag, not that it matters as soon as you have it on.

I love my girdle that much I'll be getting another one in the near future. Simply amazing! Thank you Lovehoney and Kiss Me Deadly!

To be honest, it's a shame this is only meant to be an undergarment! It is well made, and looks lovely, the bows finish it off nicely and it creates a nice shape that everybody will enjoy!

I have always thought of girdles as being for grannies, but this really makes any woman look amazing and very sexy!
