      My first impression when opening the packaging was "WOW! This is heavy!" There's a serious amount of metal and leather in this product, not to mention the rubber ball. This definitely suggests that this is a high quality product, worthy of its 'deluxe' moniker.

      My second impression was "Wait, how does this work?" There are four buckles on this product (I swear there were more, but I've just counted) and figuring out which go where is a little tricky. One goes around the base of your head, one under your chin, and then two come down from the over the head strap and fasten behind your head. I imagine that when you've had a couple of goes at fastening the harness that it would become much easier. My first time - doing it to myself - was actually relatively easy. It only took me a minute or two, and I couldn't see what I was doing.

      What I liked:

      - The looks - once on this product looks amazing.

      - The feel - lovely soft rubber, cold hard metal, a nice big (but not too big) ball

      - The security - this isn't a product that a recalcitrant sub can just rip off or spit out

      What I wasn't so keen on:

      - Complicated fastening - though practice will make this a non-issue

      - Two of the fastenings too loose - see below

      If you look at the picture on the product page, you'll notice that the strap by the model's ear looks a little looser than the rest. In my experience, it is. Even on the tightest setting there was still a lot of play with these straps. This could have been solved by slightly shortening the over the head strap. However, this isn't too much of a problem. Because there are straps on both sides of the head, side to side movement is still limited, and back and forth likewise. The security of the product isn't affected, it would just have been nice to be able to get it tighter.

      Overall, this product lives up to its claims - it's a secure and comfortable product that is very visually effective. Shorten that one strap - perfect product. As is, it's still a very good product.
