How I longed to find a vibrating anal wand – and find one I did, with the Power Wand Enhanced. With the promise of powerful vibrations all the way through, from the battery-powered bullet to the tip, I was shuddering just with the thought. I was simply was bursting with excitement when my order came.

After opening the door to the postman with yet another "I only ever seem to catch you undressed" comment, I almost snatched the box off him. I ran upstairs and wrestled with the double tape (great secure packaging as always, Lovehoney) before revaling its packaged glory.

The size looked amazing. With a circumference of 4" and an insertable length of 6.3" I knew my other half would be able to feel every vibration whilst having sex. This was until I turned on the bullet.

What's the best way to describe this? Have you ever had a fly or bee caught in you hair or right by your ear? Well, this is exactly what the bullet sounded like. Oh yes, it had three speeds, each slightly more powerful than the last, but it just sounded like the fly was getting closer to my ear and this was highly irritating. No swatting would stop it.

On its own I would say you could feel the bullet's vibrations, but the sound would be too much for you to fully enjoy the experience. When the bullet was actually in the anal wand, it was hard to feel the vibrations on the lower setting at the base, let alone at the tip. On the highest setting, you could feel slight movement at the tip but (after having slightly similar anal vibrators) it was nowhere near strong enough for me to feel them. I even changed the bullet to my trusty and powerful RO-80mm ammunition bullet in the hope of feeling the strong vibations that I craved, but although this made a considerable difference, it did not provide the power I wanted.

On another rather irritating note, the Power Wand is made of rubber, which attracts hair and dust like a magnet. This is definitely not an attractive quality in any sex toy.

Much to my sadness, this Power Wand just doesn't live up to my expectations and is on its way back to Lovehoney. My quest for a powerful anal wand continues.
