Good colour with a nice lacy top that's adjustable and would fit most legs.

Uses nice thick opaque fabric.

Looks very nice and sexy on my girlfriend.

They are suitable for use without or with suspenders.

For what they are it is a decent price and they look and feel like they won't get damaged easily.

Not the greatest, not the worst!

I'd been looking for some wear-with-anything really opaque stockings for a while when I found these, so thought I'd better snap them up.

When I opened them they were really opaque like I'd hoped, but they looked quite a lot tackier than I'd first thought. Writing this review I've now realised why. The close-up photograph of the lacy bit is inaccurate, as my stockings have silver metal hoops to tie the ribbon through which isn't anywhere near as nice.

I also got told at checkout that I'd get a free BASICS finger vibrator, but I never received it. But being an added bonus anyway, I'm not having sleepless nights over it. The main problem is that I'm not having sleepless nights wearing these stockings either!

The stockings are listed as hold-ups, saying on the website that if you tied the ribbons tightly they would stay up. Now my legs are definitely not the thinnest, and even when the ribbons are pulled at the tightest they fall down.

I wanted to be able to wear them out, but without a suspender belt this is impossible. I put them on as I was leaving to meet my boyfriend but by time I'd gotten down the stairs they were around my knees! Not a good look, and also slightly embarrassing considering I live in uni halls with a shared stairway! Giving up on this idea, I tried them on again for him later. They wouldn't even stay up in bed, even during a less energetic session. I think the problem appears to be the lack of a gummy strip at the top which is what most hold-ups have.

They are a reasonable price though, and with a suspender belt I suppose they'd still do the job.

Unfortunately, I did not read the review before I bought these stockings. If I had, I wouldn't have bothered. I was looking for hold ups as I seem to be running out of ones in good condition.

As the title states 'hold up stockings' and I liked the price and the unusual design of the tops, I purchased these.

These did, unfortunately, come with silver rings instead of what looks like black fabric loops for the ribbon to tie through, however in my opinion, it is not altogether a bad thing. They will last longer, you can tie them tighter and they don't actually look that bad.

These also do not 'hold up' very well, although they did not slip all the way down my thighs, I don't think I would be confident enough to wear them for long without a suspender belt. It would be a bit of a passion killer if I had to keep pulling them up every 2 minutes whilst in the throes of passion.

I won't be sending them back, however, as I am not entirely disappointed with them. They are a lovely pair and although not fit for my original purpose, my OH will love them!

So if you just want stockings with a bit of a twist, and have a nice suspender belt to go with them, at this price, go for it!

I do think the images and description need to be updated though!

I wish I had read the reviews before purchase.

The stockings are a very good dense black in colour with a nice feel. But like another reviewer, I was not thrilled by the metal eyelets which are not visible in the illustration. I have a 22" thigh circumference at the level the stockings reach and there is no way that there is a secure grip from these stockings.

Sorry, but I was not impressed.
