After seven years together, my faithful old vibe has given up the ghost, and so after a tearful goodbye I was on the lookout for a replacement. I have bought several vibes over the years, but was yet to find one as good as my first. Until today!

The Akmeo arrives in a gorgeous box and is gorgeous in looks. It really is as smooth as silk, and it comes with a wee sachet of lube tucked into the instruction manual. The batteries are really easy to get in which is a bit of a rarity with waterproof vibes. And the controls are easy peasy, with raised plus and minus buttons which are fairly self explanatory.

There are six speeds going from a nice subtle purring to a pretty intense vibration, so should meet everyone's needs. I like my vibes to make my teeth rattle and I was not disappointed. And then there are three pulsing programs which I don't tend to bother with as I prefer my vibrations constant.

I always prefer to use any vibe clitorally before going for the g-spot, and the Akmeo works brilliantly on both. The curved tip allows for really directed sensations on your clitoris if that takes your fancy, but you can also position the curve so it fits over your clit to provide a more generalised sensation whoch is gorgeous! It is really good for targeting the bottom of the clitoris as well. Divine. Intense orgasms a go-go.

On insertion, the Akmeo is fairly wide so gives a really nice full sensation. And they knew what they were doing with that curved tip, it found my g-spot instantly and delivered focused vibrations just where you want them. Newcomers to vibrators might find the girth slightly intimidating, but with a spot of lube it is just fantastic used internally.
