    1. Foster Forest big hard and satisfying

Reviewed: 22 December 2010 by happy sam, a Straight Married Male

I am a male anal lover and this toy did just the job.

It is good and a good long length and the girth is just right. I just stuck it to a hard surface and rode it. The vibrations are quite good and it is pretty bendy so you can give it some hammer. The suction is not the greatest in the world but it just about did its job.

It is not a toy for anal beginners but just right for experienced anal users

    1. Foster Forest; may disappoint in the bedroom

Reviewed: 20 June 2009 by mimiaow

The Foster Forest vibrator; a realistic toy that doesn't push boundaries. Just don't have too high expectations...

The eco-conscious consumer may be glad to hear that this is a vibrator that won't arrive smothered in unnecessary packaging - the vibrator is encased within a bubble of plastic (usually accepted by city councils as recyclable, although I'd recommend you check in your personal area), along with a sheet of glossy paper (listing vital usage instructions and product details).

Similarly, unlike many others, the vibrator opts out of the trashy porno-style sex toy image - although not within the classy realms of LELO or Fun Factory, there are no scantily clad women adorning this packaging.

The 'Hardtex' skin-safe rubber is a relatively pleasant material; listed as 'firm', but equally soft and pliable. Containing latex, it certainly feels rubbery (and not as smooth as other materials), but with the addition of some lubricant, is perfectly comfortable. The toy also contains no phthalates, giving you peace of mind, knowing that your toy contains no unwanted chemicals.

However, cleaning is a slight issue with this vibrator - not only must it not be immersed in water (as it is not waterproof), but appropriate care must be taken with this material. Lovehoney explains that rubber is even more porous than jelly (which, similarly, is not that easy to clean), so it cannot be sterilised.

Harsh chemicals are a definite no-no with rubber, and may damage the toy, so recommended advice is warm water and mild soap. Sex Toy Cleaner may also be a useful addition to your basket if you are thinking of purchasing the Foster Forest.

A minor issue with the material is the smell. Although you're not hit with a noxious wave of chemical odours that may assault you from similar rubber/ jelly toys, be aware that this vibrator is not entirely odourless (and, despite being carefully washed, this doesn't seem to disappear).

First and foremost, I would not recommend this toy to a first time buyer, based on dimensions alone. Although far from the range of monster dildos and humongous vibrators that Lovehoney has to offer, the Foster Forest vibrator is not some cute little gadget you can carry around in your handbag.

8 inches long and a diameter of 1.6 inches, Foster is a pretty impressive size. Unlike many stylised shaped toys, this vibrator aims to give you a realistic appearance and feel - after the head, the width is consistent, making this toy ideal for someone who's looking for a satisfying toy with girth.

Despite not being a personal fan of realistic-looking toys, those who are should not be let down by this design. It comes in three colours (two of which are sold on Lovehoney - 'flesh' and 'black'), complete in all its veiny glory. The balls seem to be a pointless addition; however, if these visually are your kind of thing, they do add to the realism of the product.

The suction base; a fantastic concept, disappointing result.

If, like me, one of the greatest appeals of this rather average looking vibrator was the prospect of slamming it to a wall, or your desk, and having your wicked way with him, you sadly may be rather let down. Promising a "very powerful suction cap that generates so much power", Foster is rather disappointing in reality.

Having tested the product in various situations, the suction cap was pretty difficult to attach to anything, let alone "any smooth surface" that it promised. A perfectly smooth cupboard wall appeared promising; however, in use seemed to 'tire', dropping lamely off of the surface at the most inopportune time. If there's anything more frustrating than a product not working, it's the product cutting out on you in the middle of play.

The classic, the seat of a chair, was even less fruitful - the slightest dip in the wood, and the toy stubbornly refused to stay. Adding a little water to the base was rather helpful in aiding 'stickiness'; however, in use I really have not had much success. I'd suggest using the suction base in the shower - however, not being waterproof, or even splashproof, this wouldn't be the best of ideas.

For those craving hands-free pleasure, perhaps Foster Forest would fare better as a strap-on vibrator; the toy is listed as harness compatible.

For use, plug the wire attached to the vibrator into one of the connections at the top of the control box. What the product doesn't explain is the necessity of two "independent jacks for personal control". The jack can be inserted into either, and clicks in safely, making it more difficult to accidentally disconnect during use, especially when compared to other toys of a similar design. The connector also seems well made and robust, not something that would break with an accidental tug. The control requires 3 AA batteries and the 'IntiMate III' controller provides you with a little diagram of correct battery insertion within this compartment.

The Foster Forest 3 band control box allows you to choose a speed within their 3 band limit - high, low and medium. Certainly not very quiet, the vibrations are nonetheless appropriately powerful and pleasurable if you enjoy internal vibrations.

The dial is a simple sliding control, one that is incredibly easy to use and shouldn't require any "hang on, turn the light on" moments. Having said that, it is rather easy to switch speeds or turn the device off, and you have to be pretty gentle when changing speeds.
