First things to mention with this item are a few descriptive errors on the item packaging (and consequently Lovehoney). This Inflatable Bondage Ball is NOT flocked. To see what the texture is like, view the close-up photo of the handle – somewhat matte plastic rather than furry goodness.

Despite the initial disappointment of discovering this it actually turned into a bit of a bonus as it means the ball can be easily wiped clean after use, whereas a flocked texture could end up with a number of unsightly stains!

The ball took only a couple of minutes to inflate by puff power (a pump as used to inflate footballs/exercise balls would be a boon here) – just make sure you don't over-inflate it as you need some give in the ball to make getting into positions easier.

The finish of the ball could be better. Most of the seams are bonded internally but there are a few which stick out from the ball which could potentially be a bit scratchy to naked skin if you slid across them. The ball isn't slippery, so you won't slide off it, but it’s not sticky either. The handles are well-placed and seem to be firmly attached.

In use the ball allows you to get into some unusual positions and orgasm-friendly angles which would be tricky to achieve otherwise. If you're feeling lazy you can also use the handles to rock the ball with your partner on it in place of thrusting :o)

Included in the pack are a blindfold (cheap and cheerful) and a puncture repair kit to get it back into action following overzealous use.

Must mention, it's also just the right height to use as a footrest. But resist the urge to use it as a space hopper – it doesn't bounce so well…
