What better way to start your hen night than with willy-shaped cakes?! Each cup cake pan will make six 4-inch willy cup cake. These are great fun to make on a girls night in and ideal for hen night nibbles.
We found that by adding a drop of food colouring to the cake mix you get a more realistic looking willy! It made biting into them all the more fun...

Stood to attention, ready for icing

When my friend was having her hen party, she issued strict instructions that there be "no willies". Well, she wouldn't know what was best for her, would she? I had a browse around and decided that these would be the best option for our party (over the single cock cake tin).
I made up my standard sponge mix, and added a little food dye. I buttered and floured the pan (essential to get the sponges out easily) and cooked the cakes for about 12-15 minutes. My standard recipe made 18 cakes. They cooked well, though the balls being particularly deep in the pan meant that the sponge didn't cook evenly (so I went for a drier sponge rather than soggy balls).
When I turned up with these and some icing, the hen party loved it! We all had a go at customising our cakes, made rude jokes about icing and made the hen eat squirty cream off of them - standard hen procedure.
I'd definitely recommend these for either a great way to kick off a hen weekend or a surprise at a hen party picnic. Brilliant as an icebreaker if some people at the party don't know each other. If you're so inclined, you may even like these just for the sake of it?!
- Easy to use, great icebreaker, just good fun!
- Deep balls meant that sponges didn't cook evenly.
- Bottom line
- A great buy, and a great activity to make your fellow hens giggle!
