Lovehoney Mains Powered Magic Wand VibratorThere's one Hitachi product you won't see at the company's trade shows and conventions - its now infamous 'Magic Wand' massager. The Hitachi Magic Wand was originally designed in the 70s as a two-speed muscle massager, but it soon became clear this mains-powered electric vibrator was incredible for intimate, as well as deep-tissue, massage. Renowned as one of the most powerful vibrators ever invented, it quickly made its way into bedrooms the world over. However, Hitachi shy away from promoting or featuring the product.

In a further blow, the product is now banned in the UK. Without a CE mark to declare it as safe for the European market, trading standards have been searching sex toy warehouses and stopping the sale of the appliance within the entire European Economic Area. So what hope is there now for the country's tight and unsatisfied (love) muscles?

In Lovehoney's continued efforts to bring sexual happiness to the nation, they have designed an improved, totally safe, UK-friendly version of the Magic Wand vibrator. The Lovehoney Mains Powered Magic Wand® Vibrator is now available to soothe and stimulate – and all at a pocket-friendly price of just £44.99. What's great about this wand is that it has a UK plug, meaning it's perfectly designed for totally safe use in the UK with no loss of power. Stylishly designed with a quality build, this toy is a brilliant way to experience the iconic magic wand sex toy for yourself. The Lovehoney Mains Powered Magic Wand® Vibrator delivers intense stimulation to your intimate spots with its range of delectable vibration speeds. Designed to access those hard-to-reach areas with a flexible head, this new legend delivers pleasure on demand.

One reviewer has already delivered her opinion, saying: "I love, love, love this wand and plan to use it until the day it gives up on me, which going by Lovehoney quality means we will be together for a very long time."

The Lovehoney Magic Wand® Vibrator is part of the new Lovehoney own-brand range of sex toys. Each new toy in the range comes complete with stylishly designed packaging and includes an instruction leaflet to help you get the most out of your brand new sex toy.

Sam and Evan: From Girls to Men BBC ThreeLimp Packer Sam and Evan From Girls to Men BBC ThreeFleshlight's range of limp penis packers were seen on BBC Three's recent documentary Sam and Evan: From Girls to Men.

The programme followed Sam and Evan as they undergo the process of changing their bodies from female to male. As part of the journey, Sam and Evan were filmed as they browsed Lovehoney for "some help in the trouser department" and were later seen customising a packer into a STP (stand to pee).

One customer review of the Limpy Packer Extra Small enthuses, "I would like to say thank you for being a UK site that offers limp packers. As a FTM it was great as my first packer, it felt and looked totally real. It made me feel a little step closer to feeling like the real me, as I finally had something that looked and felt like it should have always been there. So once again a huge thank you."

If you want to watch the full documentary, you can find Sam and Evan: From Girls to Men on BBC iPlayer for the next 7 days.

Lovehoney's first ever television ad airs next week, kicking off our new campaign to encourage people to 'Live a Sexier Life'. As the first ever sex toys advert to be approved for daytime TV in the UK, it's a breakthrough in terms of the nation's attitude to sex and pleasure.

Featured in the Telegraph (twice, and again!) and the Daily Mail it's already provoking intense debate - especially in comments sections like here on AOL Lifestyle, on Twitter and in blogs.

Lovehoney has been named Best Online Retailer at the 2011 ETO Awards.

Presented by UK industry magazine Erotic Trade Only, the awards honour the highest achievers in the adult industry, including retailers, lingerie companies, film distributors, and manufacturers.

Lovehoney beat off competition including Ann Summers to win the award for a record 4th year.

The company also scooped the 'Success Story of the Year' award, recognising it's continued innovation and business growth in the UK and expansion into the US Market.

Lovehoney, which currently sells one in three sex toys purchased online, making it the UK's largest online retailer, has had an exciting year, having undergone a successful rebrand and website makeover, and reported sales of £13.4 million for the year 2010/2011, an increase of £3 million on the previous year. The company also acquired online retailer Becheeky.com in April this year, launched several new product ranges and completed a one million pound refurbishment of it's warehouse and offices in Bath, doubling it in size. Its US operation, based in Dallas, has also achieved significant growth.

'We've continued to work harder than anyone else to develop new, innovative and exciting product ranges and deliver a world class online shopping experience', says Lovehoney co-founder Neal Slateford. 'Our award winning customer service remains at the core of what we do. By always going the extra inch, we remain one of the leading companies in the UK e-commerce, not just in the adult retail industry.'

Public Service Announcement: We Know Size Matters...

The BBC has reported that suppliers and manufacturers have been shrinking the size of their products to avoid raising the price, due to the rise in commodity prices. Some manufacturers, such as Toblerone (whose chocolate bars have reduced by a whole triangle) have been upfront with consumers about the reduction. Whereas others have cheekily kept the packaging and price the same, and reduced the size of the product without notifying the customer. Very naughty.

Here at Lovehoney we want to reassure you that we know Every Inch Counts. We will never knowingly shrink our dildos or vibrators without telling you. In fact, you can scrutinize the size of every item. Just scroll down to the 'How It Measures Up' section of the product page to find the length, circumference, diameter, base diameter and base type of the product.
