Sex And The City was quite a hit as a TV series and we can even thank it for creating mass popular interest in a number of things. Anal sex is one example, and rabbit vibrators another! Who says TV is bad for you?

I had the pleasure of reviewing a sample of the original rabbit vibrator about a year ago. Actually there's a bit of confusion surrounding the genuine rabbit as featured in the TV show. Time marches ever onward, and now Sex And The City is about to hit the Big Screen! So what could be better than giving the rabbit some Big treatment too, in celebration.

There are three obvious differences with this exciting new toy. It's bigger of course, but that goes without saying. The original pink rubber has given way to a classy black, silver and clear design, and it is now cordless, so you have no wires to worry about getting tangled. Oh yes – and the pink theme hasn't been entirely neglected. In a nod to nostalgia you get a free pink draw-string “Carrie Bag” to keep it in! Genius. The overall length is 250mm (10 inches), of which 150mm (6 inches) is insertable. The clear rubber material has just the right softness and does not have a strong chemical smell like some soft sex toys, so that's a big bonus. It takes four AA sized batteries in a well made battery compartment that forms the base.

Using it couldn't be easier – the controls are all push button and seem to work well. There are four in all. A separate on/off button for vibration and rotation (more about that in a moment!) a high/low setting for vibration and a forward/reverse for the rotation. Some gizmo sex toys I've used have loads of fiddly flimsy push buttons and so many settings that operating them is more like trying to program your video. Not so this toy – no nerdy computer chips or menu options to worry about here. It's simple and straight down to business, the way I like it.

The proof of any sex toy is how much pleasure it can give, so we were keen give this one a good run for its money. I can happily report that my girlfriend loved every moment of it! The rabbit ears are longer than usual, giving them more reach to really nestle against your clit exactly where you want them. They have just the right amount of softness and flexibility and (I'm told) feel divine as they gently tease and wiggle around. I was impressed by how good they obviously felt for her on the low setting. As soon as she pressed the “high” button it was all over – she screamed out in orgasm.

After a short rest and a bit of foreplay we decided to try the rotation settings! Mr Big lives up to its name by having a full 50mm (two inches) of jiggling, jostling, vibrating pleasure inducing beads along the base of its shaft – far more than the original. The effect of them is amazing. If I thought she'd enjoyed herself just using the vibration I was knocked over by how much pleasure she was getting from both at the same time. Not only do the balls jiggle around to massage your pussy walls but the penis shaped tip of the toy squirms around in a circular motion too. With all that AND the loving attention her clit was receiving she didn't stand a chance at holding out and came strongly several times in succession. All-in-all then, Mr Big gets a big two thumbs up from her and a “blimey, how do I follow that?!” from me. So, is this new toy going to be a hit? I'd have to say that Lovehoney has created a winner.
