Julie Ashton Pocket Rocket and Sleeve: Best clitoral vibe I have ever bought. Ever., 14 Feb 2007

On my very first vibrator buying expedition, I went into a shop in New York City, and sought the advice of the man behind the counter. He pointed Me immediately to the Juli Ashton Pink Pocket Rocket and Sleeve. He said that the dangly things on the end feel great on the clitoris.

Oh. My. God. He wasn't kidding.

That was in 2002, or thereabouts. I have bought many, many toys since then, and have NEVER found a better clitoral vibrating toy. It was My first purchase, and still my favourite, after all this time. It's the only one I won't share with My partners.

It's MINE.

Sometimes I just feel out of sorts and want an orgasm to perk myself up, without spending ages at it either. With this toy, I can reliably come, and come HARD, in SECONDS, even if I'm not feeling particularly horny. If I feel like it, I could spend all day with it too (and have done ;) ).

The sleeve is silicone. I vividly remember discovering why it's a Bad Thing to use silicone based lubricant with silicone toys. At the time I'd been using ID Millennium, which otherwise is still my favourite lubricant. I was absolutely GUTTED when I pulled my favourite toy out of the bag and saw that the sleeve had disintegrated all down one side and one of the dangly things had come off. I nearly cried.

I had been so bitterly disappointed to find it wasn't available online, even the Doc Johnson site at the time didn't list it. So the first chance I got, I went back to that shop to replace it. They didn't happen to have the sleeves separately in stock at that point, so I bought another two of the Pocket Rockets with sleeves, just to be on the safe side. The first Pocket Rocket I got still works fine. But without the sleeve, I feel our relationship had become rather meaningless and empty. Oh, the heartache. ;)

I'm not too fussed on the whole thing being pink, why are so many toys pink?? I hate pink. Initially I had got the white Pocket Rocket, and the sleeves separately. But really, I don't spend all my time looking at it, it isn't such a big deal. How it FEELS is the killer application. :)

I must say, the white/clear sleeve isn't anywhere near as gorgeous feeling as the pink one. Gorgeous, but not AS gorgeous. Oyyy, again with the pink. Oh well.

It takes one AA battery, which lasts for quite a long time. The Pocket Rocket itself packs a fairly powerful wallop when it comes to strength of vibrations, an effect which is magnified at least tenfold by those absolutely marvellous dangly things on the end. I don't know why more toys are not designed like that, such a simple idea, and so VERY effective, mmmmmmmmmm...

I'd buy the white Pocket Rocket and separate sleeves again in a heartbeat, and I'd also buy the same for any friend to whom I wanted to give a rather special and intimate present. The dangly bits feel fabulous on facial lips, labia, glans of the penis, neck, nose, nipples, well, anywhere, really. It is insertable, and feels wonderful there too. :) But for me, it's primary talent is those delicious dangly things on my clitoris. :)

All vibrating toys, by their very nature, can feel pleasant against the clitoris. I've enjoyed many other vibrating toys against my clitoris, both alone and with partners. But as far as I'm concerned, this toy is the Reigning Divinity over all other clitoral vibrating toys. You will NOT want to share it. Once you try it, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. ;)
