I'd been looking for a simple and straight, but stimulating vibe to diddle myself silly with for a while, and I finally found this one and decided it met with my approval. When I received my order I went straight for this. The packaging's a bit tacky, but oh well, you can throw that away and never think of it again.
When I got it out, I was first hit by the smell. It's a chemically plasticy smell -- it's not overly horrid, but it's pretty strong. It feels delightful, though. Very soft and tactile -- ever so slightly sticky though, which I found a bit off-putting. Rolling the sleeve up a little (the sleeve is super-stretchy, by the way, so it'd probably be quite suitable for using on your favourite penis!) revealed a lovely white, pearlescent, smooth, plastic vibe. The build quality is brilliant -- just what you'd expect from such a big name as Doc Johnson.
I gave it a good few washes to try and reduce the smell (which worked a bit), and the powdery residue the sleeve had left on the plastic vibe, then left it out to dry.
To insert the batteries it's a simple twist off base, then you just slide two AA batteries into the shaft. Then you just need to twist the cap back on, then twist the dial to increase and decrease the speed. Easy-peasy. When I turned the dial my eyes must have lit up -- it's delightfully powerful for something with such small battery power. And it has a nice pitch --not hornet high, but not stomach churningly low either. It's quite noisy, but not horribly so. The motor's located near the tip, so the vibrations are strongest there -- which means you can get them nice and deep.
When I first used it, I instantly fell in love. You just need a tiny bit of lube, and it glides in wonderfully. The ribs are subtle, but stimulating. The vibration is as close to perfect as I've felt. I had a fantastic orgasm. And then another ;)
Circumference wise, it's pretty small -- it's 3.5" without the sleeve, and 4.25" with it -- so it wouldn't be daunting or uncomfortable for a first-timer, but anyone looking to be stretched will be disappointed. It's versatile due to the sleeve, which feels just lovely inside and out. The power is impressive, and the build quality is good.
If you're looking for a simple, but very good vibe, I can't recommend this highly enough. It's great for when you just can't be bothered with all the bells and whistles of a rabbit, but want something more interesting and comfortable than a boring plain plastic vibe. It gives a fantastic 'no-frills' orgasm. This is one you'll want to use again and again.
My only real complaint about this is that it isn't waterproof -- I'd love to be able to use it in the shower. But you can't have it all, I guess!
