I know that when writing a good review it is best to clarify why a product is good or bad, but I swear, with this one I just want to say:
If you're thinking of getting this as a gift or to take with you on a romantic weekend, just do it. Seriously. Buy it and don't look back.
Is that too simple? Because it is just that great of a kit. It is gorgeously presented and covers all the bases. Each individual product is fabulous and they all work together wonderfully. Perhaps what I love the most about this kit is the fact that you really can present it as a gift to anyone--not just your partner--and it will be a thoughtful, beautiful gift. I can definitely see this being given away at wedding showers, birthdays, and anniversaries. Nothing about it says "skanky", is the thing--you can give this even to people you aren't seeing naked without coming across as that creepy person who gives inappropriate gifts.
I've previously reviewed a lot of the products in this kit, and there isn't really anything in here that I wouldn't fully recommend. The Mood Candle especially is incredible--the scent (Rosemary Mint) is uplifting and seductive, and works for men and women. Anyone who has had the "too girly! too manly!" argument knows why that is such a ringing endorsement.
The Massage Bar has been a long-standing favorite of mine--if you haven't tried them, you really are in for a treat. They melt with body heat as you slide it across skin, giving you a great silky feel. My kit came with French Vanilla, which seems a popular favorite, but I would be surprised if using one didn't make you go and order the other flavors to try as well (I definitely recommend the chocolate mint--I swear, I could almost eat that as is).
The two bottles of Lickable Massage Oil are great--they are based on Sweet Almond Oil, so those of you who are familiar with aromatherapy or massage in general will know that you are getting quality massage oil. It rubs in wonderfully and gives you quite a bit of "rubbing time".
The only product that I think isn't completely necessary to the kit is the waterproof bullet vibe. It is a bit dinky for my tastes (and mine arrived with tiny cracks in it)--I tend to think that everyone has a plethora of vibrators, though, so if you don't, I'm sure you'll enjoy this one. That it is waterproof is a bonus, especially since you have so many bath options with this kit (I especially love the Honey Buttermilk bubble bath--it smells incredibly tasty).
Really, it's just a perfect present. It really upgrades a weekend together (even if that is spent in no more a romantic locale than your bedroom) into something really wonderful.
