The best condom latex or non latex

by Lieutenant beckah 22 September 2007

Pros: It's so thin it's hard to believe your using a condom
Cons: Nothing

I'm allergic to latex and non latex condoms aren't easy to come by. I've been using Durex Avanti for six years and when visiting this site I decided to give the Pasante a try. It took us a few mins to figure out how they worked even after reading the instructions. But after the first time it's a diddle. My partner said straight away he liked the way it felt it was thin. And when he was inside me I knew what he meant. It was like it didn't even exist. They were great, I didn't get the slightly...

A slightly different view

by Captain youraverageman 21 June 2007

Pros: Extremely sensitive sex and easy to forget you're wearing it.
Cons: Pricey and a little fiddly to put on the first time.

I started using these condoms with my partner around 2 years ago, as she was taking medication (non-sexual) at the time that made her sensitive to latex. 18 months since she stopped using the medication and her "latex allergy" cleared up, we're still using them exclusively. Yes, these condoms are fiddly to put on, but no more so than latex condoms once you've done it a few times. They come with comprehensive instructions so no excuses men! These condoms do vaguely resemble clingfilm, but...

ewww!!

by Captain mitchalez 02 May 2007

Pros: not a lot
Cons: too tricky to use

I have also tried one of these puzzles that calls itself a condom! We couldn't work out the labelling and laughed so much we ended up just using a normal one!! Great for when you need a laugh, terrible for practicality!...

Looks cool, feels...eeew

by Brigadier Queen Mab 14 January 2007

Pros: Cool packaging
Cons: A tremendous faff to put on; feels and looks like clingfilm; doesn't stay in place well either

I do love those fabulous people at Pasanté, and the packaging here looks really cool, but they are just terrible. It feels and looks just like something fashioned from clingfilm, is really a complete faff to put on (it even has a little sticker that tells you which is the "penis" side and which is the "vagina" side, which should give you an indication of how confusing they are!) We did manage to get one on eventually, but it was very uncomfortable, and, as it doesn't roll on like a trad condom,...

Like a plastic bag

by Major Ambiguous 29 December 2006

Pros: Non-latex, easy to get on if you're not too big for them.
Cons: Distracting, no chance of forgetting it's there!

I don't have much experience of non-latex condoms, but I believe that it's normal for them to have no stretch and instead fit by molding themselves a bit to the body, so ok there. I got some of these when they first came out because my boyfriend doesn't get along well with condoms so I thought something new was worth a try. My boyfriend's little friend is around five inches long and not thick, so we didn't have the problems with fit that others experienced, and they went on very easily. Very thin...

Not nice

by Captain Dick Barton 29 November 2006

Pros: The packaging and instructions
Cons: Everything else

These condoms are hugely disappointing. The packaging and product information are teriffic - but that's where it stops. The condoms themselves are all crinkly with a rough seam around the top and an unusual flap or 'skirt' around the base. Well, I'm just an average kinda 6" guy, but this thing was so tight that I couldn't get it more than about halfway down my penis. Then it became so uncomfortable that I gave up the fight, but even when it was unrolled it looked too short to cover my penis...

Disappointing

by Captain Dick Barton 08 September 2006

Pros: The packaging
Cons: Everything else

Debora Cheri has summed it up from a female perspective - but, as a man, I totally agree with her. The packaging is brilliantly innovative, but that's the only good thing I can find to say about Pasante Unique. They look like something you made at school from one of those supermarket vegetable bags, and the teat end seemed to be shrivelled and rather rough. I think I'm an average sort of size. All the other condoms I've used (5 or 6 styles from Durex, Mates and Condomi) fit perfectly, but...

Unique is not necessarily an advantage, there are reasons why condoms are stretchy.

by General Private Debora Cheri 07 July 2006

Pros: The packaging designed to fit in a wallet and look like a credit card.
Cons: Too small and doesn’t stretch at all.

Pasanté are trying to expand the choices available to those of us with a latex allergy. This is certainly completely different from any condom I have ever tried before. The packaging is well designed and the instructions are detailed and clear. However the condom itself is similar to a thick clingfilm bag with a teat end but without flexibility or stretch. It has a special skirt like flap around the end to facilitate pulling it on and prevent leakage but that only reached half an inch from...
