The Sex Doctor

by Lieutenant Colonel havingmycake 22 December 2007

Pros: Sensible, helpful advice delivered in an easy to understand manner.
Cons: There wasn't anything.

It's taken me a while to review this book because I've been reading it in a sort of pick and mix type of way as and when I've needed guidance on certain areas rather than just ploughing straight through and trying to process such a lot of information on so many different areas. Tracey Cox is an excellent writer and gives a lot of really helpful and valuable tips for the beginner right the way through to the more experienced. A definite must for your bookshelf as a reference manual....

An apple a day won’t work on your sex life

by General Private Debora Cheri 11 September 2007

Pros: There are sections in this book which should be required reading for all adults.
Cons: I can’t forgive her suggestion that I imagine my fantasy figure with halitosis and BO.

Although it says; “Fix your love life fast!” on the cover this is not just for people with sexual problems. It guides those with problems in the right direction and goes a long way towards solving many sexual difficulties, but this book’s most important role is to create a healthy attitude to sex. I’ve been impressed with Tracey Cox’s writing before and wasn’t disappointed in this book. It is well written, easy to read with a coherent flow and an entertaining conversational style. If I was recommending...

Doctors Orders!

by Major Jo-Marie 10 September 2007

Pros: Theres somehting for everyone.
Cons: Theres not enough on YOUR section.

So i had this as a freebie from lovehoney, and even though my love life didn't need "fixing fast" it's certainly benefited from reading the book. The book contains advice for anyone and everyone, singles, couples, gays, lesbians and virgins. There's a few quirky sex facts scattered throughout the book complete with comments from real life people. It even manages to explain "that period" when you just don't want sex with your partner even though they're darn hot and perfect! Want to know what...

A Bit of What you Fancy......

by Major General lesleys 12 August 2007

Pros: Covers most topics of sexual relationships.
Cons: Could possibly confuse sexually inexperienced lovers ?

Received this book as an Orgasm Army prize. Whilst this book was never on my wish list and is not generally the sort of book I would opt for, I do nonetheless wish I'd had it years or even months ago. With age you tend to assume that you've got the experience and know what you like and don't like, which whilst true doesn't cover the seemingly endless areas that you've never previously even thought of. This book (in much the same way as the OA forum ) opens up these areas and presents an informed...

Got a problem? Read Sex Doctor!

by Lieutenant Colonel jessie78 05 August 2007

Pros: Easy to read, fun and practical
Cons: Nothing really

This book is a very informative and straight to the point guide on improving many areas of your sex life. It deals with straight, gay and lesbian relationships, positions, ideas to try, what women want etc. Lots of focus on oral sex as the author says a woman can never have too much of this!!...

An interesting read

by Captain tiger_998_98 03 August 2007

Pros: an easy going light hearted read packed full of information!
Cons: Were a couple of chapters that didn't apply to me, but that may not be the case for everyone!

I must say I have never bought a sex book in my life but thanks to LoveHoney freebies, I thought I would give it a go! It's a good book, and has chapters covering everything imaginable, from sex positions to frequently asked questions. It gives some great tips on spicing up your sex life, and covers both singles and those in a relationship. It's written in quite a light hearted way and I must admit, Tracy had me laughing out loud a few times! It's easy to navigate through the book if you want...

If it helps you...fair enough.

by Major Ikkle-Flump 31 July 2007

Pros: -
Cons: -

Quite frankly, after a quick flip through just after it arrived in the post and read; Q: I sometimes find myself having sex just to be polite. It seems easier and less fuss to do it rather than try to get out of it if I've changed my mind. Is this normal? A: If you mean agreeing to sex after one date that didn't go well, no it's not normal. That's passively giving the nod to date rape... the feeling of anger and disgust that came over me and is still with me several hours later makes me...

A down to earth woman who knows what we want!

by Captain iluv2kissu 27 July 2007

Pros: The friendly relaxed style of the book.
Cons: The fact I never read it sooner

Firstly may I say this is only the second sex book I have read and probably would never have bought it, but as it was a gift I read it anyway! (Thanks Orgasm Army) The book is broken up into several categories and not all will apply to everyone- but I think it is safe to say it is an interesting read for anyone, especially women who have been in a long term relationship like myself. As you read the chapters of the book, Tracey Cox asks the questions the majority of us would have asked ourselves...

Tracey 'Sex Doctor' Cox to the rescue!

by Field Marshall happycamper 21 February 2007

Pros: Hundreds of hot 'hands-on' hints and tips that are as good in reality as they sound on paper.
Cons: There's an awful lot to take in. Best digested in bite-sized chunks.

Just when you think that sex expert Tracey Cox has written about every possible aspect of love, sex and relationships, up pops 'The Sex Doctor'. Having read most of Tracey's titles, my first thought was that my sexual knowledge and repertoire of tricks had already received maximum input from Ms Cox. How wrong was I - thanks to this book I had my steamiest Valentine's Day ever! No matter whether your single or coupled up, gay or straight, a novice or a nympho, you're sure to learn something...
