Lou Paget is a woman of a certain age, who knows a lot about sex, and gets her wisdom across in an amazingly tasteful and engaging way. A class act all around, as opposed to some others we could name, but won't.(*)
Lou Paget, on the other hand, writes very good sex books that you can read with your lover without worrying what's coming up on the next page--you know it's going to be accurate and possibly intriguing. This one has brought me up several notches in my girlfriend's esteem, and I can't say higher praise than that.
(*)One problem with sex books nowadays is that they're so 'sex positive' that they spoil the mood completely. When GF and I are cuddling and flipping through a book looking for something fun to try, it's a complete downer when we run into a picture of some ratty-looking individuals using industrial ironmongery on each other and trying to look hot, or some oh-so-progressive writer trying to bludgeon us into thinking that everything sexual is JUST FINE, THANK YOU, and feeling all righteous about it. It's okay with us if that gets some people off, but we aren't among them, that's all.
