Pros: Well researched background, engaging story, hot sex and a happy ending. Cons: The characters are very obviously heroes or villains, no inbetweens to wonder about. Rushed ending.

Considering my last brush with historical tales was many moons ago whilst studying for my GCSEs, I wasn't convinced that I was going to fare well with this romp through the Third Crusade. Although I recognised Richard the Lionheart by name, I couldn't have told you a thing about who he was or what he achieved! Luckily this didn't matter at all.
