I live in a cute little Tyneside flat and spend my days working in mental health research and my evenings getting up to various shenanigans--most of which show up online in some form or another. My training is in Psychology and I am more clinically inclined than my current job indicates--though I only rarely start conversations with "you wanna know what your problem is?" :)
I am here because I love sex toys, but I hate getting a bad one. So one day when I was grumbling over a lackluster toy, I thought it was time for me to start telling people what is working and what isn't, so that they get the most bang for their sex toy buck. If I have my way, the world will be full of I Rub My Penguins, and empty of Durex Sensation Condoms...

Short story collections are a really good way to get your feet wet in erotica. You don't get tied down to a full-length book before you know if you like that particular fantasy. This is an especially good value since the Black Lace books are everywhere--getting to read short stories from six of their big authors gives you a chance to also decide whose writing style you like.
I will say, though, that one of the dangers of these collections is that the type of stories that you get are a real grab bag. They can be very very specific and if they aren't your thing, they will be very much not your thing. The first story in this collection involved a former porn start who was in a Daddy relationship with a rich man--it chronicled their trip to a big toy store. That...is a very specific fantasy. It was also not even a little bit to my tastes. But this brings up the real joy of a collection...when that story was over, a whole new one began.
Not all of these stories involved sex between two or more people--one is very much a bittersweet story of memories of youth, featuring only a spot of masturbation. This will either be a very good thing or a not so good thing for you--depending on how much sex you like in your erotica. It can be a very good thing for people who aren't sure how explicit they want to read. But that consideration makes it odd to put such fetishistic stories in as well.
To be honest, there is no clear audience or person who will definitely love this book. I think most people will enjoy one or two stories but not the rest. But it is very short and a very easy read. For the price and chance to glimpse the work of authors you might be buying later, it works.
