LoveHoney and the Environment
LoveHoney is working to minimise its impact on the environment. These are some of the things we do in order to provide you with a greener place to shop.
LoveHoney Carbon Offsetting
LoveHoney makes an annual donation to the World Land Trust to offset the carbon dioxide emissions generated by the general operations of the company and the shipment of products from sources around the world to the LoveHoney warehouse in Bath.
The World Land Trust Carbon Balanced Fund is used to acquire land and undertake restoration projects working through local partner organisations.
Through the support of individuals and companies such as LoveHoney, the World Land Trust has been able to purchase and protect more than 350,000 acres of tropical forest and other threatened habitats.
LoveHoney Sex Toy Recycling Scheme
LoveHoney runs Rabbit Amnesty the world's first sex toy recycling scheme. Vibrators that are returned to LoveHoney are taken to a Designated Collection Facility where they are recycled and treated in an ecologically sound manner.
When you recycle a rabbit with Rabbit Amnesty, LoveHoney will donate £1 to the World Land Trust. The World Land Trust is an international conservation organisation that takes direct action to save rainforest and other biologically important lands. The wilderness areas bought by the World Land Trust are protected indefinitely as private reserves owned and managed by local organisations for the benefit of both wildlife and people.
"World Land Trust is delighted to be working with LoveHoney to help save habitats and all their wildlife and congratulate Love Honey on their commitment to the environment."

Waste Electrical Equipment (WEEE) Regulations
LoveHoney is committed to adopting greener business practices that will benefit both its customers and the environment. LoveHoney works with a leading UK provider of reliable and responsible compliance and recycling solutions to ensure it complies with environmental legislation. LoveHoney has joined the Distributor Takeback Scheme to meet its obligations under the WEEE regulations and has gone one step further by launching the Rabbit Amnesty recycling scheme.
LoveHoney Web Servers Carbon Offset
LoveHoney's Web servers are hosted with a company that offsets its carbon emissions in association with the International Tree Foundation. Trees are planted in Pembrokeshire to offset the emissions of LoveHoney's servers.
The ITF is a UK charity that promotes an appreciation of trees, both in the UK and overseas. We recognise that trees play a vital role in the health, wellbeing and economies of communities around the world, and we support a range of projects that work to plant, care for and protect trees.
What else LoveHoney is doing
All product packaging used to send your order is made from recycled material. Click here to see our envelopes and boxes.
LoveHoney staff are encouraged to lift-share wherever possible and many do so. Bicycles can be safely stored on LoveHoney premises and a shower is available to staff who cycle, walk or run to work.
Wherever possible, meetings are conducted by telephone, instant messenger or videoconference, minimising the need to travel to business meetings.
LoveHoney staff are encouraged to always switch off lights, monitors, PCs, photocopies and printers at night and during prolonged breaks. By doing this, it is possible to reduce emissions associated with electricity consumption by up to 20%.
Facilities are provided so staff can recycle cans, bottles, cardboard and paper.
We will continue to encourage our staff to be aware of energy efficiency and will strike to create an energy efficient ethos.
You can get help with reducing your organisation's emissions from the Carbon Reduction Web site.
