We think we should all read more dirty books and we're not ashamed to say it! So we're starting an Erotic Book Club to encourage everyone to have a naughty book at bedtime or bathtime or whenever takes your fancy.

Think of it not so much as Richard and Judy but Richard and Rude-y!

Every month we'll feature a different erotic book from erotic publishers like Black Lace, Nexus or Cleis Press.

We'll interview the author, post an extract from the book to the Erotic Book Club blog and also provide reading notes to inspire discussion in the Erotic Book Club discussion forum. Hurrah!

The subject must strike a chord with someone out there - but why? I really couldn't get inside Beth's head here. The whole situation with Ilya left me completely cold.
I understand that from a submissive's POV that having others make your decisions for you, feeling powerless etc can be incredibly freeing, eg the reason why "safe rape" fantasy is so exciting but at the same time surely you should feel cherished and valued also? How can being urinated on and being used a table for the fags and beer be desirable let alone arousing?

This book is more than a little bit twisted and dark. It raises some interesting questions though about just how far you would let yourself be controlled before you snap.
