Recently I purchased a Wahl and got given an Eroscillator but they are both mains opperated from USA. I have rechargeable USA toys but never had an mains powered one.

I am looking for a transformer that will change the voltage from ours to USA level. I have looked on the web but the only ones that come up are cheap ones which break easily and really expensive ones. Anyone know where I can get a mid range one which works well. I won't have to use it that often either.

    Thanks.

Have you tried eBay? There is a fair range of prices, between around £2, £7 and more, and if you look through the sellers feedback you should be able to get a fair idea how reliable they are :)

Thanks for your help, I ordered the one Ness linked to. Hopefully it'll last a long time.
