    Hi,

    Hope you can help-

My bf is shy of trying anything new in bed and appears to be intimidated by any form of sex toy. I am quiet open minded and would like to try new things (like toys) but concerned hes not going to be very impressed. I dont want to force him into anything hes not going to like. He has said he will try if I buy. But he wont discuss what hed like. Truth is I am totally lost.... I always thought it was girls who were shy/prude about this kind of thing.

Does anyone have any recomended products for complete beginners that would spice things up but would not intimidate him?

Thank you for any help in advanced.

Hiya butterflyblue and welcome to the forums!

How's about a cockring? There's loads to choose from and they're pretty inexpensive.

Or the Tracey cox Supersex Stroker masturbator! You could use it on him or if he's a tad shy he could try it for himself first! Again inexpensive.

I'm sure he'd love them both Blue!

    Good luck! SG x

Could you create a wishlist on here and then let him add stuff he likes to it in his own time?

    Something like that?

I would suggest a bullet if you are looking for something for yourself.

Shouldn't get in the way and won't intimidate him, apart from making sex more enjoyable for you.

I've never come acrosss a guy yet who wouldn't like his partner using a toy.

What about some non scary bondage items? You could maybe go a little burlesque (dress up) and add some ties into the mix.

Toy wise maybe something like a cock ring? or a body wand? With the wand not only can you massage each other but u can use it on your clit while he is penetrating you.

    I would say

    A vibrating cock ring
    A stroker
    A massager type vibe
A small vibe that you can use on him while giving a hand job or oral. (that you can later use on yourself or he can use on you)

    Avoid

Anything particularly large (large relative to his penis particularly)
Anything too powerful (he needs to make you orgasm not the toy, some mens issue with toys is a fear of being replaced)
Anything that remotely looks like a penis.

Also don't use the toy for too long and don't use it every time you have sex, maybe use it twice then not the next time.

(sorry can't form proper sentences, my brain is a little overloaded today)

I would go for a small bullet/finger type vibrator, this one is quite good http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=17063 and very small, unintimidating, and cheap (so worth taking a risk on).

Maybe even something fun like flavoured lube - something that's not too far out there, but is a little bit different, I've heard great things about the sliquid flavoured ones like this http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=22110

I don't know if you've considered a small glass dildo, they're unintimidating as they're nothing like a cock (more like a piece of art!), you can explain to him that you'd like some different sensations - maybe he could blindfold you and do a bit of temperature play with it with you (cooling it down in icy water/warming it up in warm water and using it on you). It would be a fun thing to play with together - I'm sure he'd get pretty turned on if he saw you enjoying yourself from something like that.... and it is a completely different type of experience to sex. I don't know - maybe that would be too much? But possibly worth a try. I would reccomend http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=11681

Hope this helps - and good luck!

bullets can be use on men as well, on the frenulum ( the join of the head to the shaft of the penis)
