I heard this on Mock The Week last night and thought it was quite funny so I've decided to post it on here....

    The question was ...

Whats is Serious, Risky and Heroic?

    Frankie Boyles answer was...

"Is it the 3 speed settings on the world's most powerful vibrator?"

Frankie is my hero. If you like him also try checking out Jim Jeffries. If you go on ovguide then you can manage to find his "I swear to god" set online and it's without a doubt my favourite stand up ever!

Been watching some stand up shows on telly lately and there are some rather good comedians coming out, but I can never remember their names! It's annoying. There is a black guy who starts his set by talking in a foreign african accent and winds the crowd up for about ten minutes about his life being so poor and has bad jokes, he went on for so long that the audience where beginning to think of walking out because they didn't 'get it' and suddenly he switched to a proper cockney accent! He's English through and through. Though that was quite a good touch for a first show, but it would wear thin once he becomes well known, but he has quite a lust for life that I like. His comedy isn't stuff he makes up, it's just everyday humour that he see's down the street or on the bus or at a show.

I don't have a line that can be crossed. I mean sickipedia is my most browsed website up with LH. I've seen that comedian your talking about and I'm sure he started a show speaking in a homosexual accent for a while before going "Fuck it, I can't keep that up" in a strong English accent.

Yeah, I think that might be the guy. Shame his routine would wear thin so quickly once he is known though..

I think it was really a one off type thing. His jokes weren't at all bad though and I think he may have appeared on a games show once, possibly mock of the week. Speaking of which I like that other Scottish guy thats been on it since Frankie left.

Ahhh! Him! Yes, I saw that on the Apollo show. Saw him the other night. He's not bad at all.

He's not brilliant but he has some moments I really enjoyed. Rhod Gilbert the welsh guy had an excellent stand up he constantly repeats. It's short but had me laughing like mad the first few times I seen it.

LMAO! Not seen that one before. Sure I've seen him before though. Liked that a lot.

It's his only good routine I've seen as he doesn't seem to have many and oldie or not I think it's great.

see i dont think he does but then i love dark humor. I was watching this program about disabled comedians, and their view was its ok to have a laugh when someone makes a disabled joke (although all the examples they showed were of disabled people making the jokes), as long as its not directly offence. I think its the same with race jokes, like stephen k amos does his really strong accent and goes to really posh british which i personaly find very funny,

    Frankie gone!

Like Jimmy Carr he's quick witted but some of his stand up is shite. Too many one liners.

I like one liners. Such as Stewart Francais from Mock of the Week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djlYLluybAo

Going back to Frankie Boyle though I really love our dry gritty Scottish humour. I think this following clip is brilliant but it's definitely design for a small niche. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTfC3YpMDMw

I really dislike that Stewart Francis fella... You can see through most of it.

My fave comedian is probably Jason Manford, he does great encores sometimes 2hours long, you can see he loves doing it. Like John Bishop too... I guess we like our own regional comedians!

I love Frankie! But I like my comedians bitter and hate-filled. Dylan Moran's my current favourite, it changes weekly.

I find Jimmy Carr well suited to panel shows - he bounces well off other people but think his brand of humour does not make for good stand up - there is no flow and the one -liners are tired.

I don't find Frankie Boyle offensive, just out of date and shit.

Bashful, I love Dylan Moran - I also like Stewart Lee.
