Huh? No it's not. I remember Tekken Tag for PS2 and I got it and thought 'This is rubbish.' Lol! Tekken 3 for PS1 is awesome though.

Ah, thank you for starting up this thread sexycornishcouple - my inner video geek (well, okay, me) loves you! To the embarrassment of almost any close friend I've had (why?!), I'm a huge games fan (or "nerd" as it is most commonly referred to in our house). I'm nearing 21, female, and pretty feminine, so people don't often guess. I've missed out on a lot of the online fun, because my home-home has been shockingly slow at getting a mediocre internet connection, but I've dabbled a little bit in online games. My main passion is the Nintendo though, from N64 and Game Boy to Game Cube and the Wii. Huge love!

I've recently fallen in with the retro revival and dug out the old Game Boy Colour - with the exception of the DS games, I follow the Zelda franchise religiously and am renewing my love for these old handheld games.

Thank you E3!

OH spent all day yesterday trying to get an old copy of Medieval Total War 1 to work on Vista. Obviously not compatable, and he couldn't get a patch either..

So he's rather envious of my new Nintendo DS! :p

did you try setting the shortcut to run in compatibility mode for XP?  That might work.

He tried everything in the book and got nowhere. Apparently the graphics card is too high for the game. I didn't think that was possible?

Ach. That doesn't work either. He seems convinced its the graphics card I think.. The game itself just doesn't load up from the menu screen and then crashes.

sad as this may sound - yes i am a geek, not so much anymore but before i had kids i used to play computer games all the time especially in my teens but i didnt like going out the house or things like that because i was a bully victim for years at school and on the estate i was living at so the computer/games console did pretty much take over my life

still into my games and gaming but only now and then in the evening once the kids are in bed, the Wii is actually pretty good to put on at a house party with some of the sports games on there :)

I know a couple of people who were in the same situation you were in AdamKR. My ex girlfriends brother was like that and couldn't leave the house. It made such a difference when I got him sorted out with a stepping stone in life with a job working in forestry with my step dad for a summer. No idea what he's doing now, but he had a tan for the first time he could remember because of me and he felt so much more connected to life than just sitting in front of his computor all day. Even if he is back to his old self again now, I still feel a little proud of myself for giving him that oppertunity.

Mmmm. Going to see someone on Tuesday (The same feller who sold me the DS) he has promised he would try and get Chrono Trigger for me at a good price! He's brill at finding bargains. He owns a games shop and is basically the gaming god. Complete opposite to the staff at Granger Games who pretend they know what they are talking about. Iwent up there last week and asked the feller behind the desk if he knew much about DS games. "Of course, I know plenty" he replied, so I asked him for a recommendation for a good RPG for the DS, and he told me to get the Sims.. Bah! Rubbish!

What do people think of the Portal 2 trailer...?

The song alone is epic but the trailer is amazing.  I like the new companion sphere with the British accent and the new gameplay mechanics as well.  I think it's going to be a heck of a load harder than the original with all the added mechanics though.

There's some final fantasy games on the DS which would surely be good RPG's (I only play a bit of the i-pod touch when about) and without going into details it is possible to illegally get all the games for free.  I won't say how as it's not fair on the games industry but if you really wanted to do it I'm sure you could find out how online quite easily.
