Hello and welcome! If the suction cup is a strong one you can pretty much put it on any surface. I use a suction cup dildo in the shower stuck to the tiles!

Probably not, you would need to stick it to a hard surface, not soft furnishings. Maybe a chair with a hard surface?

As long as the surface is flat. If you're after a standing option walls or mirrors are good options'

Choose something with a really good suction cup (I would recommend something like this: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=28715 - a good suction cup, and a hygienic material) - these tend to work on shower tiles, glass or metal surgaces, or smooth wooden panels. If your bed has a smooth headboard, it should work just fine. A smooth (!) chopping board should be okay.
