To the wonderful, generous and welcome super kind person who lifted my spirits no end today by sending me an amazing present! I had my first ever appointment with the specialist rape/sexual abuse counsellor today and came home feeling absolutely dreadful, to find a wonderful parcel with the 'I rub my duckie' bath toy in it!
I actually cried. The timing couldn't have been better and I just can't say thank you enough. I've been wanting to try this for ages as it looks so cute!
Please, let me know who you are, I'd love to say thank you properly!

It amazes me how these lovely and thoughtful gifts always seem to arrive just when needed most :)

Aww so glad to hear this Glam! I was torn between gifting you this and the massage stuff, so I'm glad somebody else got it for you :)

Sorry to hear you've had such a rough day today with the counselling, hopefully this is the start of something good for you though, and eventually you'll feel better for it even though it might feel terrible for a while. I wish you all the best, you're so brave *hugs*

Yes, this very duck (that hopes to take a place of honour on your bathroom shelf ) has been shipped from Bath but the actual supportive spirit that hides behind its big, soulful blue eyes has flown to you from across the English Channel. You have been through a lot lately, and you can definitely do with a little something to cheer you up.

Oh, Briona! That made me cry again. He? ( I think it's a boy..) is very gorgeous and will definitely be in a special place in our bathroom. My toddler is very interested in him too!
I don't really know what to say, thank you really doesn't seem enough for such a wonderfully kind gesture. So please accept a big big hug as well. You cheered me up so much xxx

You're welcome, Glam, you don't have to say anything, I just thought you really needed a bit of joy in your incredibly tough, stressful life. Have fun.

(Just don't throw the packaging in your vicar's bin, lol )

The work you are doing with theraphy is so important, but do know that starting off it can be really rough in the beginning becuase you are basically picking off the scab of a wound on your mind. So as you have to review and discuss that it can being back the initial trama and shock all over again of the initial abuse. A trained therapist in these areas is SO IMPORTANT, as you will work with them through a healing process that will benefit you, your OH or future OH and your children or future children.

Sending positive energy and healing to both GRC and MBE both on what you are going though.

Just another voice for the "hang on in there, it hurts like hell but it won't last forever" chorus. Talking about it was one of the most painful things I have ever done - like actually physically painful - and I felt at times like the pain I was in was never ever going to go away, but it did. Hang on in there xx

It dose get easier as times go on. I have been in for coming up 2 years now. Once they know the full story it is not as hard to talk because you don't need to go into details anymore. The scars fade over time but it is just another battle scar to show you your own strengh :) xx
