    Hi,

I'm a bit of newbie to vibrators. I bought a rabbit from love honey a few years ago, but I barely used it and now it's dead. The main reason I didn't use it was because it was a bit uncomfortable when taking it out so it put me off using it in the first place. Too be honest I also didn't really get a great deal of pleasure from it in the first place.

I'm now looking for another one for solo use and to use with my other half, but I have absolutely no idea which one to go for. All I know is that I would prefer not to spend more than £20 and I don't want one too thick and rigid (unless rigid is good?).

    Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello :)

We all have to start from somewhere, right? :) I don't really get along with rabbits either, especially when you're new to them they're a bit awkward to position, and you can't really move them about without losing clitoral stimulation etc etc. There's loads of choice in the vibrating sex toy department, and it really depends on you, what you like to get stimulated, and also how strong you need the vibrations to be :) If you're into clitoral stimulation, like me, I'd definitely recommend a wand, they're often big on power, but can be expensive. I have the bodywand, which cost me £60 but was definitely worth it, though I'm a bit of a power queen. This one looks like LoveHoney's own branded version http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=20464, and they also offer a cheaper, mini version, though it's most likely not as powerful - http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=24632

If you like g-spot stimulation, love eggs are an option, they're not too big and often have a little remote to operate it, much more comfortable than having a hand kept downstairs to fiddle blindly with the controls. Mine is a Lelo Lyla 2, but me and the OH had to save up for it, but this Annabelle Knight one has had very good reviews too - http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=28040

If you wanted something to use with your other half, WeVibes are fab, and won't make him feel left out because he gets to enjoy them too! I have the WeVibe3, sadly not available any more but it's predecessor, WeVibe 2 is still available. It's quite pricey, but it could be something to save up for http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=30321.

And finally this classic vibrator has really good reviews, haven't tried it myself but it's on the bucket list! http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=32512

A good reasonably priced brand is the Tracey Cox stuff, and I've heard that the Annabelle Knight stuff is also worth their money too :)

    Hope this helps! :)

You get what you pay for with sex toys and with a budget of £20 I'd recommend one of two things.
    1) save some more
or if you really can't wait

    2) get a glass dildo.

As for comfort on removal - remember to use lube :)

For comfort onremoval i would say push with your vaginal muscles as well as gently pulling! Sometimes after orgasm especially the muscles can tighten around the toy making it hard to remove.

    as mentioned, plenty of lube!

Also avoid g spot vibes as the bulbous head can sometimes cause the discomfort when trying to remove the toy. I have one and it was horrible to remove the first few times but as i got used to it, it became easier. If youre relatively new to sex toys i would avoid anything that shape until youre really comfortable.

also i echo sum sub, £20 wont really get you much. Save up, sign up for the email deals and keep a look out. Sometimes you can find a 25% off deal which will really help towards a more expensive toy.

Wow, there's a lot of information there, thank you.

The reason I set a £20 budget is because I'm not sure how much I'm going to like it and I don't want to waste too much money. With regards to the discomfort removing it, it definitely isn't a lack of lube problem. Going in is fine, while it's in it's fine but as I take it out it turns my stomach. The feeling is horrible!!

ContinentalViking, that one is really scary and I also think with it looking so much like a penis it will put my other half off!

Subsum, thanks for your suggestion but I don't think a dildo is for me. I don't really understand the point if it doesn't vibrate but then again I've never tried it. Although, if I do ever try it I don't think I could ever go for a glass one. I'm a bit squeamish so the idea of putting glass inside me is a big no no!!

I understand your budget, the problem is that you really do get what you pay for!

I would recommend the jessica rabbit slimline to a beginner but thats slightly over budget at around 24.99 i think. That satisfied me initially and helped me discover that i prefer rabbit style vibes.

do you know what youre after? From your last post i see anything realistic looking is out, but do you have any other preference for shape? Material? Etc?

+1, you won't get much better in that price range (and I mean that as a compliment to that toy!). Remember you are totally safe shopping here though as if you don't like something you can return it for a full refund/exchange. Don't let a fear of not liking something hold you back from spending on here :)

Purpleheart, I have actually been eyeing that one up and it's not too far out of my budget. So it might be a contender if I can't find anything in my price range.

JM88, although I'm not 100% sure what I want I do have some ideas. You're right, I definitely don't want one that looks like a penis, mainly because the effect it might have on my other half. He has difficulty maintaining an erection because he's not really into penetrative sex so I think adding another 'penis' into the mix will make things worse. I think a curved shape would be best but I'm not sure on material. Part of my thinks that a hard plastic would be off putting but then I'm not sure if a more flexible option is best.

I have been eyein this one up too - http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=24372

I dont have that one you linked, but i would say that you might experience difficulty removing it and find it uncomfortable at first because if the shape of it.

What was the vibe you had before that was uncomfortable?

I'm not sure where I bought it from so I can't provide a link instead I've taken a photo of it and put it as my profile picture (temporarily). I also put it next to a superdrug points card which is the same size as debit/credit card to give some context if size.

As I'm sure you can see it's a rabbit vibrator. The shaft is rigid but squidgy to the touch as it's made of silicone. The tip is completely flexible. Too be honest it's a shame it doesn' t work anymore as when I first bought it I wasn't particularly interested, I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about but now I'm really keen on using it. I've been using it without the vibrations but it's just not doing it for me alone. Also, taking out just goes through me.

After looking again at the one I provided a link too I think you might be right about the shape and difficulty removing it.

    I'm now considering this one - http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=24991

Especially since it has 'first time' in its name!

    Hi!

For a rabbit I'd highly recomend this tracey cox one:http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=30574. It feels like a luxury toy but is way cheaper than brands like LELO. I'd suggest staying well away from rabbits with a bulbous shape at the end as I find them very painful to insert and remove.

I'd also recomend using a good lube to make things more comfortable. I love this one: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=15118 but if that's out of your budget, the basic lovehoney one is very good too: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=25000. Only use a water based lube if you get a silicone toy.

If you fancied trying a bullet I'd suggest this fifty shades one: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=30890 it's brilliant!

I second what other people have said - you get what you pay for. More expensive toys are often rechargeable (saving you money on batteries) made from better, bodysafe materials (I wouldn't touch jelly/rubber toys with a barge pole) and generally just better quality. I would save up and give yourself at least a £35 budget.

Don't forget, lovehoney have an excellent returns policy so if you don't like what you've bought you can just return it, so you've nothing to lose by trying something a little pricier.

I'm almost 100% sure I know the rabbit you have in your profile pic (cannot link as you can't link to competitors here), just so you know I am pretty sure it is a jelly rabbit, not a silicone one. Just pointing it out as silicone toys are a lot firmer than jelly ones and I wouldn't want you thinking a silicone toy will feel as squidgey as that one then being disappointed with it :)

Are you looking for another rabbit or a plain internal vibrator?

Personally this is my favorite for beginners: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=2008 It works as a g-spot dildo or as a clitoral vibrator. It's inexpensive and easy to clean and it doesn't look too penis-y (since that puts off a lot of guys for couples play). It's basically like a bullet vibe on a stick. I haven't had the lovehoney one that I linked, but I had a nearly identical one that I got in the states. It was one of my first sex toys and remains one of my favorites.

I think you're right about the jelly - that does ring a bell. Going to have a quick look at a competitor's website to see if I can confirm your suspicions. I'm open to another rabbit or plain internal vibrator.

Typed jelly rabbit vibrator into Google and found it straight away. I don't recognise the website though. Perhaps lovehoney also sold it 3 years ago. But you're definitely right, it is jelly.

This is a great little vibrator. Small so not intimidating for me or my dear lady. Its curved to tease the g-spot but small to tuck inside her lips and tease her clit too, to get her wet and dripping. She is not used to toys yet, but with this gem having a mind of its own, she's getting there. :-)

Its also silicon, firm but nice texture. From other posts I get the impression its best to avoid jelly vibes, and with love honey's great guarantee its worth the try.

A vibrating dildo would sound like a good option due to material. Theres also a tracey cox and LELO gspot vibrator that i want to try out...again its alot to do with the material. But i can honestly say hand on heart the best kind of vibrator you could ever buy is a bullet ;) 3 orgasms on a row for me :) Alsong as you like clit stim :)
