If youre lookimg for a bullet then this brand has great feedback http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=29682

Alternatively this makes a great gift set http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=25367

personally i wouldnt buy a dildo as a first toy gift. You dont know what size/shape/texture etc she would like. They vary so much that its pretty much a personal preference that shes perhaps best to choose herself.

These are the exact 2 bullets I was going to recommend! My boyfriend bought me the RO 80mm (in plain gold) as my first sex toy and I loved it!

probably a bullet. discreet, not threatening, versatile.

The main thing will be how you introduce it, you dont' want to pressure her in to it and put her off. Good luck :-)

I totally second this, its a great first toy and you can also have fun with it too! I would go for the rock off bullet but there are some other great ones out there :) There is a bullet in the 3 for £25 deal that comes in a tin with balm :) That would be a great choice too :)

I agree with most others, that a bullet vibe is probably the best bet for a first sex toy.

I'd recommend the swoon shimmy gift set, as it comes in a beautiful little tin, and the vibe itself is very discreet. It has a range of modes, I find some of the higher ones quite powerful but there are lower speeds too. And to top it all off, it comes with batteries and a little tin of arousal balm that you can use on her intimate area or nipples :)

At £15, not too pricey either. When I first started using sex toys I was intimated by dildos and glass etc so I stuck to bullets, they're really great for clitoral stimulation and easy to climax with, as opposed to dildos or G spot toys.

100% this: Cupid's Pink Mini Bullet Vibrator. It is small, cute, fairly quiet and hands down the best bullet I own despite it only having one type of vibration (which also makes it less scary). She will love it and it's £8.99 win win x

My advice would be start small to get used to it. You don't want to go in all guns blazing and it to out either of you off because I found when I started the ideas you have in your head are different to how it does in real life.

You need to be relaxed and I don't think I would be happy starting off with the biggest most powerful toy Lovehoney sell.

Have a look together at what takes your fancy, I can almost guarantee you will find something you didn't even know existed like the Sqweel?

The wand is fantastic, and by far the best toy I've tried, but to be honest if I was a sex toy Virgin that would freak me out a bit due to the sheer size and power of the thing! Definitely one to invest in in the future if your partner enjoys other toys :)

Or there are miniature wands available which look less intimidating, but might still be too powerful and overwhelming.

I'd still recommend the swoon shimmy gift set :)

I would recommend the Fifty Shades of Grey wickedly tempting bullet or the Erotic Rocket for a straightforward vibe, the Tracey Cox rabbit for an excellent beginners rabbit or the Tracey Cox rechargeable love ring for something to use together:

I'd definitely recommend checking out the 3 for £10, £25, £50 and £75 deals too. Have fun!

Yes! The deals are so good. You could put together a little sexy hamper?

Love the LH '3 for deals' really good value and you could choose a selection of very different toys.

Sexy hamper ? Fab idea - leaves laptop open on appropriate page for hubby to 'accidently stumble across' ;)

The OH and I have had fun with this as our first toy together

The different vibration patterns kept her guessing, and she definitely enjoyed it.
