Love is my wife.

I've been very ill for the last 2 1/2 years ( I had a nervous breakdown as they used to be called, with PTSD) - so ill that I was forced to resign from my job. I couldn't continue. I became a real bastard - my personality changed dramatically. I did and said sooooo many things I shouldn't have done - marriage ending things.

But through it all my wife stayed with me - getting angry - seeing the man she loves disappear to replaced by a monster. Geting angry, getting depressed, but through it all, loving me - even when I couldn't see love, recognise it.

She stayed with me, hoping my love for her would reappear.

Recovery is now well under way and nxt year we will be celebrating (and I mean CELEBRATING!!!) 20 years of marriage

She is love.

It's just mushy and came out at Xmas I think x

Love is forgiveness, acceptance, negotiation, a changing growing thing that if not fed and watered can die as easily as it can start.

Love is respect, tolerance, sacrifice. Love is difficult.  Love is realising you can hate someone in the blink of an eye at the very same moment as you love them so much you would willingly give your life for them.

Love is getting out of bed at 4am to put the heating on so they aren't cold when they get up. Having coffee /wine/ a hot bath ready when they need it. Listening to the incessant whining becuase it's important to them. Love is putting up with the in-laws despite murderous thoughts.

Love is prioritising the other person.

Love takes over your heart and soul and becomes the main driving force in your life.

Love is sodding complicated that's what it is!

Love is sitting watching LOTR: The Two Towers together for the umpteenth time and him not minding one bit as once again you go all gooey every time Aragorn comes on screen

Love is realizing one day that you are watching very dodgy horror films and laughing at them with your OH whehn you previously despised the films!

Love is also when you catch yourself singing lines from songs in your OHs music collection when your doing the dishes!

And love is always truely respecting your OHs beliefs, even if you never really understood them.

Love is sitting happily in silence. Love is a kiss on the forehead making things all better when you've been sobbing your eyes out for an hour. Love is knowing that sometimes words aren't good enough - but making a strong cuppa is. Love is waking up every single morning knowing how lucky you are to have found something so perfect.

I know what love is!!!

Love is when you are feeling poorly, and you OH dissapears out when your asleep and after youve woken up, produces chocolate muffins!!

 Love is sharing a coat pocket to hold hands when you've forgotten gloves!
