Not being hairy, I had laser treatment to remove the remaining body hair, and after a number of treatments, it seems perminant. In my family, body hair is not considered y clean. The ladies prefer to be without from what I have seen, and it seems very popula on those porn websites nowadays. I have seen ladies on the beach who were completly hair free as well.

For laser you need dark hair and fair skin. It may be permanent, but in the States, at least, it's not allowed to be advertised that way. Electrolysis is the 100% method but it's slow and laborious and depends on having a good operator who knows what they're doing. As merntioned above find one that does transsexuals to be reasonably sure you'll get it done properly.

Epilation is, well, epilation. It does pull the root out, but that is no guarantee that it will not grow back, it takes longer and doesn't grow so dark as there isn't a cut end when it re-appears. I epilate most of my body and it works for me, but men with more growth and thicker hair might struggle. That said, it hurt lots when I started and I had to use a combination of shaving and epilating until I got used to it and had the bulk of hair under control. Now, I go over my body pretty much every day and it catches anything that's grown long enough for the tweexers to catch. I don't obsess over it as what gets missed one day gets caught the next.

Below the base of my penis I shave, but epilating leaves no stubble and I hardly ever get ingrown hairs, though that can be a prblem when you start. I've tried the wet and dry epilators in the shower, but for me it works best if I epilate, then shower. I rub down in the shower with a flannel and dry off briskly with a hard-ish towel and that keeps me exfoliated and seems to prevent ingrown hairs.

I wear out an epilator in about 3-4 years as a rule - I'm on my 4th and it's about to go tits up. The 4 epiltors have lasted me nearly 12 years all told.

The epilator I used nearly ripped me apart had cuts everywhere I went on my pubic area!!

Bum was ok though as it has tight skin on it and fat and muscle.

Laser sounds good on my penis hair and scrotum but think I will carry on with a razor on my mound and bum area. I will maybe try waxing my crack and mound pubis at a future point.

This will I think have the same effect as an epilator just without those scary tweezer wheels that yank your skin off as well as hair!

Shaved this am so feeling extra smooth around my nether region! Love that freshly shaved feeling !!

First rule of waxing (so I'm told) is to get somebody else to do it! The pain is the same but the results are likely to be better with less risk of damaging yourself.

I don't take my epilator lower than the area immediately above the root of the penis. I can do my crack, can't reach my back and don't even think about my sac. I would think doing your mound would be very dependent on your individual physical makeup and how skilled you are with the epilator. Definitely not for beginners, if at all.

Laser or IPL is worth researching and maybe getting advice from others, including the bifgger operstors who can offer multiple types, as they operate on different wavelengths even though they're all referred to as 'laser'.

Home laser/IPL is definitely not permanent, and works for some and not for others, mostly because the power is limited compared to commercial machines.

There isn't a single safe, cheap permanent and painless solution, I'm afraid.

Fascinating thread....OH&I much prefer to be as smooth as we can be, shaving in the shower every other day. Both of us would prefer a more permanent solution and, on balance, the idea of electrolysis by someone skilled enough to treat transsexual clients is probably our option of choice.....just need to do the research and save our pennies! :)

I'm very pale but dark hair, especially belly button and below...almost black.
I get what you mean with hair on the shaft, mine comes up very high too.
I usually just trim it back - I do not like wet shaving at all.
So I got a clipper and used #5 on pubic area, #1 on shaft , balls , bum.
Them plucked the shaft hairs after. I wouldn't let anyone do this to me except myself. I then made a sugar wax to do my balls with.

I do like body hair on men, but smooth balls are heavenly.

I spent thousands on laser hair removal on diffrent parts of my body total waste of money. Hair does not go it only slows down growth. I simply use cream now. Save your money don't make same mistake as me.
